2018 Six Nations round 3 & Super Rugby round 2 review

Well, the 2018 Super Rugby season has started for New Zealand teams as the Highlanders register their 1st win under new coach Aaron Mauger against the Blues in Dunedin then last night, the defending champion Crusaders (Coached by none other than Scott 'Razor' Robertson) have begun their title defence by thrashing the Chiefs in Christchurch.

And finally round 3 of the 2018 Six Nations season got started as France register their 1st victory of the season against the Italians in Marseille then Ireland remained on top of the Six Nations with a win against Wales in Dublin then the big moment in Edinburgh as Scotland ended England's hopes of both a grand slam & triple crown with an all important victory in front of their packed home crowd to end their 9 year drought by claiming the Calcutta Cup.

So that is my 188th blog of the year 2018 (MMXVIII) & my 8th of this year.

Engagement party topic & 2018 Six Nations round 2 review (+ Super Rugby season starts)

Well, it has been a week since Dad & Raewyn Sharrock's engagement party, wow! My 2nd cousin Ben Blain was there, so too is Carole Webb & Sherylle-Anne Collins (Who stayed at Leon & Hanne's but both of them didn't go to my Dad & Raewyn's engagement party), & we partied hard (Oh man!) so this week it is a bit different (And we had a 18 year old visitor named Antoine from Quebec in Canada (Although he is the son of one of Aunty Tania's friends) from Tuesday to Friday yesterday although he quite liked our pet dog Buck that much compared to Ben).

And finally week 2 of the Six Nations began as Ireland trash Italy in a tough game at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin then England downed Wales by 6 points in a close encounter at Twickenham in London & Scotland win the inaugural Auld Alliance Trophy in another close game against France at Murrayfield in Edinburgh.

So that is my 187th blog of the year 2018 (MMXVIII) & my 7th of this year.

P.S. And don't forget, the 2018 Super Rugby season kicks off this week as only the South African & Argentinian teams play but we will see both the Australian, Japanese & New Zealand teams next week as the competition is reduced from 18 teams to 15 (Gone are the Cheetahs & Southern Kings (Who both have been departed to the Pro 12 competition which is now Pro 14) from South Africa & the Western Force (Although the Western Force would now play in the Indo-Pacific rugby competition which will begin next year) from Australia despite being the better team last year).

Super Rugby
Don't miss a thing

And finally have you heard nothing that Ben said to me? Well, of course he would see a Star Wars movie (Although I am watching the Blu-ray version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie on Good Friday which is the 30th of March this year in 2018 because the last time I saw that movie was on New Year's Day on putlocker after I deleted the recording by accident) every weekend with Kathryn Ngapo (Who will be coming here in Whanganui between next month in March & April because she hasn't seen Buck (And it's been a year since Kathryn had last been to Whanganui although she had been there 3 times last year (One with Ken Branch then the other with Ben & another by herself) as a kid but he was named ironically after the character Ben Kenobi & he is a Star Wars fan just like Rejean.

2018 Six Nations round 1 & Superbowl LII review

Well, the 2018 Six Nations season is underway as Wales began their campaign with a win against Scotland at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff while Ireland win against France in Saint-Denis with a match winning drop goal by Johnny Sexton right at the death (And it was shades of Mitch Hunt last year in Super Rugby doing a similar thing to Sexton, to kick the match winning drop goal for the Crusaders against their Southern rivals the Highlanders right at the death) & England have begun their title defence, crushing the hapless Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

And finally (Meanwhile), the Philadelphia Eagles ended the New England Patriots hopes of winning back to back Superbowls at Superbowl LII (Just like Superbowl LXX when the Patriots did that against the Seattle Seahawks) with a comfortable win which broke new offensive records, something that back-up quarterback for the Eagles, Nick Foles (Who filled in for the injured star quarterback, Carson Wentz) would be proud of.

So that is my 186th blog of the year 2018 (MMXVIII) & my 6th of this year.
