Get Down Tonight/Something Got Me Started: My 1st blog of 2018 (MMXVIII)

Well, 2018 is finally arrived so this is going to be my 1st blog of the year (And it is only the 7th day of January so I haven't been blogging since last week).

And it was on New Year's Day that I watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens on putlocker (Dad told me that I can watch the movie on that website because it was my 1st movie that I've watched this year because the next movie that I'm going to watch is The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (It was filmed here in New Zealand (Directed by none other than Sir Peter Jackson who is married to Fran Walsh) & I remember the characters names such as Frodo Baggins (One of the main protagonists of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy along with Aragorn played by Elijah Wood because Frodo is the main hero & Aragorn is the other hero), Sam (Samwise Gamgee), Merry (Meriadoc Brandybuck), Pippin (Peregrin Took), Gandalf (Portrayed by Sir Ian McKellen who plays Magneto in X-Men), Aragorn (Played by Viggo Mortensen from movies such as Daylight, Hildago & A History Of Violence), Legolas (Portrayed by Orlando Bloom from Pirates Of The Caribbean as Will Turner), Gimli (Played by John Rhys-Davies who is married to a New Zealand reporter named Lisa Manning), Boromir (Portrayed by Sean Bean from Game Of Thrones as Ned Stark, Goldeneye as Alec Trevelyan & National Treasure), Elrond (Played by Hugo Weaving AKA Agent Smith from The Matrix), Arwen (Portrayed by the daughter of Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, Liv Tyler), Galadriel (Played by Aussie actress Cate Blanchett), Bilbo Baggins (Frodo's uncle portrayed by Ian Holm who played Father Vito Cornelius in the 1997 film, The Fifth Element), Saruman (Played by the late Christopher Lee who plays Dracula, Count Dooku from the Star Wars prequel trilogy & Wilbur Wonka from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory), Gollum (Portrayed by Any Serkis AKA Supreme Leader Snoke from the Star Wars sequel trilogy) & the evil Sauron) after I deleted the recording of the movie that was shown on TVNZ 2 on the 28th of December (The same day that Me & Dad went to New Plymouth & Oakura on a camper van) 2 days before Hanne, Leon (Well, I showed him a gameplay of that FIFA 18 game that I've got on the PS4) & Sherylle-Anne came over for a barbecue a day before I visited 15 Alexander Street where I had a chat with Sherry & Leon (I saw 3 photo albums but my favourite one is some Danish fans tuning in by watching the Euros on TV back home in Denmark way back in 2004 (The same year that the self proclaimed Danish Terminator of Hanne went to her native Denmark with Leon after they got happily married) while Hanne was at a supermarket 2 days before me & Pops went to the St Johns Club (The same day that we went to Nan's grave 2 years after her passing because we haven't been to the St Johns Club for a while) for both a dinner (I had a chicken fillet & fries with self serving vegetables & salad) & dessert (I had a snickers bar cheesecake).

And here's my list of ideas that I've wrote for this blog that I'm doing:

Accolades of Sonny Bill Williams

Twice premiership winning player with the Bulldogs (2004) & the Roosters (2013)
Twice Rugby World Cup winning player with the All Blacks (2011 & 2015)
Won a Super Rugby title with the Chiefs (2012).

The All Blacks are both the best team & player in world rugby (Which is exactly Beauden Barrett) compared to the 2014 FIFA World Cup final between the best football/soccer team in the world which is Germany & Argentina who fielded the best football/soccer player in the world in the form of Lionel Messi.

Best rugby coach in the world? Eddie Jones (Japanese Aussie) of England (Say it yourself)

Best rugby players in the country (In alphabetical order):

Australia: Israel Folau & Michael Hooper (I don't know what to say)
England: Owen Farrell & Maro Itoje
Fiji: Leone Nakarawa
France: Guilhem Guirado
Ireland: Tadhg Furlong
Italy: Sergio Parisse
New Zealand: Beauden Barrett & Brodie Retallick
Scotland: Stuart Hogg
& Wales: Jonathan Davies

Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie (Which featured characters Han Solo, Chewbacca (The Wookiee), Leia Organa (The Resistance General), C-3PO (See Threepio), R2-D2 (Artoo Detoo) & Luke Skywalker (The missing Jedi who tried to train his nephew Ben Solo who became Kylo Ren & failed) but the movie saw the introduction of new characters such as Poe Dameron (Pilot of The Resistance), BB-8 (Bee Bee Ate), Kylo Ren (Born as Ben Solo who is the antagonist of the Star Wars sequel trilogy & armed with a cross guard red colored lightsaber as well as being a member of the Knights Of Ren), Rey (The Star Wars sequel trilogy protagonist & scavenger from the planet Jakku who became a Jedi in the dying moments of the movie), Finn (Known as FN-2187 who defected from the First Order to join The Resistance), Captain Phasma, General Hux & last but not least, supreme leader Snoke) came out in 2015 (Which is the same year that the All Blacks successfully retained & won the last Rugby World Cup (In which the tournament was held in England (We faced Argentina, Namibia, Georgia & Tonga in the pool games, France in the quarterfinal (All Black winger Julian Savea scored a hat-trick (Including that famous try in which he bumped off several French defenders to score during the 1st half because something that the late Jonah Lomu would be proud of, praising Savea's performance on the field even comparing him to Lomu) in our 62 - 13 thrashing which is the largest winning margin in the Rugby World Cup knockout stage) then the Springboks in the semifinal (Tries by blindside flanker Jerome Kaino & reserve utility back Beauden Barrett as well as conversions, penalties & a drop goal by star first five-eighth Dan Carter for the AB's says it all) & of course, we took on the Wallabies in the final (With Dan Carter contributing 19 points to earn his man of the match award in his last outing for New Zealand along with openside flanker & All Black captain Richie McCaw as well as second five-eighth Ma'a Nonu, centre Conrad Smith & reserve hooker Keven Mealamu although Carter began scoring 3 penalties to Wallaby first five-eighth Bernard Foley's 1 before Nehe Milner-Skudder scored the opening try of the final just right on halftime then Ma'a Nonu scored a brilliant try off a Sonny Bill Williams offload during the 2nd half before a yellow card by fullback Ben Smith for a dangerous tackle changed things for the Wallabies as they scored 14 unanswered points with tries scored by both Wallaby number 8 David Pocock & centre Tevita Kuridrani (Both converted by Foley) then Carter nailed a drop goal just like he did against South Africa before the All Blacks awarded a penalty with Carter nailing a penalty goal several metres out to increase the margin then Beauden Barrett chased & scored the all important last try of the tournament (Dan Carter converted the try to make the final score 34 - 17) to clinch our 3rd Rugby World Cup title which was kicked ahead by Ben Smith after Australia had lost the ball needing quick tries to stay in the game) as well as the Black Caps came so close of winning the Cricket World Cup (It was held in both Australia & New Zealand) against Australia (After wins against Sri Lanka, Scotland, England, Australia, Afghanistan & Bangladesh in the group games, West Indies in the quarterfinals at Westpac Stadium in Wellington (Martin Guptill scored 237 not out in which he got a double ton & is one of the highest individual scores at a Cricket World Cup) & a famous victory against South Africa in front of our adoring home fans at Eden Park in Auckland (With South African born player playing for the Black Caps, Grant Elliott (Who had to console South African pace bowler Dale Steyn after the game just like Sonny Bill Williams did to Springbok centre Jesse Kriel in the 2015 Rugby World Cup semifinal) hitting the match winning six with only 2 balls to spare to go through to our 1st Cricket World Cup final) & The Highlanders spoiled the Hurricanes party (There was no party at Tony Brown's in the 1999 Super 12 final in which the Highlanders lost to the Crusaders although the Hurricanes had an incredible home form & the fact that they had beaten the Highlanders before not once but twice) at Westpac Stadium in Wellington in the Super Rugby final (The 1st all New Zealand Super Rugby final in 9 years), winning their 1st Super Rugby title).

Beauden Barrett - Cross field kick & foot race expert
Israel Folau - High ball guru
Rieko Ioane - Speed king
Michael Hooper & David Pocock - Turnover masters
Sonny Bill Williams - Offload specialist

Pathways to the All Blacks (Again in alphabetical order (LOL!):

Beauden Barrett - Under 20s
Rieko Ioane - Sevens
Sonny Bill Williams - Rugby League

Fastest player in the modern era of rugby? Rieko Ioane

Owen Farrell - World's most reliable goal kicker

I tell you what I think of it.

Brendon Hartley's pathway to Formula 1: Le Mans (He won it just once in the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year).

Brazil met Germany in the 2002 FIFA World Cup final in Yokohama, Japan. Winning the match with 2 goals scored by Ronaldo (Not Cristiano Ronaldo) & their 5th title (Most recent because they 1st won in 1958 then 1962 again before England won it in 1966 then regained the title in 1970, 24 years before they would win again it in 1994).
Both teams have never met again at a FIFA World Cup until in 2014 where they encountered in a semifinal, this time with Brazil hosting the tournament. But it was the Germans who got payback/revenge/utu, demolishing/thrashing the Brazilians (Who were without captain Thiago Silva due to suspension & star player Neymar due to injury) by 6 goals & advanced by going through to the FIFA World Cup final against Argentina in which they went on to win in order to capture their 4th title (1st won it in 1954 as West Germany then in 1974 again & 1990 against Argentina featuring 1986 FIFA World Cup winning player Diego Armando Maradona) with a match winning goal scored by super sub Mario Goetze during extra time.

Brazil may have lost their semifinal thrashing against Germany, but they won their hearts & they were relieved by not letting their rivals Argentina win the the last FIFA World Cup in 2014 because the people of Brazil were in Germany's favour (Several Brazilian fans turned up at the final backing/supporting Germany especially in the Brazilian city with German influence of Blumenau). Much more like in the America's Cup that the Italian syndicate of the Luna Rossa Challenge (Long term partners of our very own Emirates Team New Zealand (3 time America's Cup winners in 1995 (It was held in San Diego, California against the Dennis Conner skippered Young America (And Conner's crew consist of sailors from Stars & Stripes which merged with the PACT 95 syndicate with former Il Moro De Venezia skipper Paul Cayard at the helm), 2000 (Held in our own backyard in Auckland against Luna Rossa who defeated AmericaOne skippered by Cayard in the Louis Vuitton Cup final) & last year (It was last held in Bermuda against the Jimmy Spithill skippered Oracle Team USA (And Spithill's crew including sailors Tom Slingsby & Kyle Langford were mostly Australian) compared to the American rock band Queens Of The Stone Age (The lead singer of that band is Josh Homme & known for their hits The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret, No One Knows, Go With The Flow, Little Sister & Make It Wit Chu) being lifelong friends of the Foo Fighters (Established/Formed in 1994 after the breakup of Nirvana due to the tragic passing of lead singer Kurt Cobain & known for their hits Everlong, My Hero, Learn To Fly, All My Life & Best Of You) because the lead singer of the Foo Fighters (And former drummer of Nirvana), Dave Grohl, used to be a drummer of Queens Of The Stone Age for their album released in 2002, Songs for the Deaf) are always been very popular here in New Zealand since they 1st entered in 2000 according to the America's Cup book that I've got which is Lone Wolf: How Emirates Team New Zealand stunned the world.

And finally, I am now officially an expert on rugby union, motor racing, rugby league, football/soccer, cricket, tennis, golf & skateboarding.

So that is my 181st blog of the year 2018 (MMXVIII) & my 1st of this year.

P.S. And so many sporting events to look forward this year in 2018 where you have the Winter Olympics held in Pyeongchang in South Korea next month then the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia (Which is held in April) & the most important of them all, the FIFA World Cup in Russia which will happen in 5 months time (Manuel Neuer's Germany were the winners of the last World Cup in 2014 (Held in Brazil) so David de Gea's Spain has never won since 2010 (South Africa were the hosts) compared to Neymar's Brazil have last won in 2002 (Japan & South Korea co-hosted the tournament), Antoine Griezmann, N'golo Kante, Hugo Lloris & Paul Pogba's France have never won in 20 years (1998 because it was held in France when they last won the tournament as the host nation), Lionel Messi's Argentina have never won in 1986 (Held in Mexico), Harry Kane's England have last won in 1966 (Held in England in which they won on home soil) & finally, Luis Suarez's Uruguay have never won in 68 years (1950 because the tournament was held in Brazil).

And we have just witnessed our highs & lows of 2017 in sports such as Emirates Team New Zealand's (Featuring the likes of Australian born skipper with previous America's Cup experience aboard the Kiwi yacht, Glenn Ashby & young 26 year old helmsman (And Olympic hero alongside Blair Tuke) Peter Burling) triumph in the America's Cup against Oracle Team USA (Backed by American billionaire Larry Ellison (Compared to Alinghi which is backed by Swiss billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli) & revenge was sweet eh? (After the drubbing in 2013 over in San Francisco, California) Because we were relieved about it so that was our personal highlight of the year) & Jimmy Spithill to the Lions series between the All Blacks & the British & Irish Lions ended in a draw (The low points were SBW's red card during the 2nd test & the French referee Romain Poite changing his decision to a scrum because it was an accidental offside costing us our chance of winning the series (And it should've been a penalty anyway) in the 3rd & deciding test) which was disappointing for us to the rise of Fiji (Known as the Bati featuring star player & Parramatta bound Jarryd Hayne who had been to a semifinal (They lost to Australia in the semifinal (Well discipline must have hurt them a bit) at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane) after beating the Kiwis at Westpac Stadium in Wellington in the quarterfinal by 2 points in another monumental upset) before in both 2008 & 2013), Lebanon (AKA the Cedars with ex-Kangaroo & Lebanese captain Robbie Farah & young 23 year old Parramatta Eel Mitchell Moses being the star men because they 1st reached a knockout stage like no other in only their 2nd appearance at a Rugby League World Cup (Although they had to beat France at GIO Stadium in Canberra during the group game to advance to the quarterfinals), eventually losing to Tonga (Who were the surprise package (Along with Fiji) in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup after claiming an upset win against the Kiwis in their final group game at FMG Stadium Waikato over in Hamilton) in the quarterfinal over at AMI Stadium in Christchurch) & Tonga (Better known as Mate Ma'a featuring key player & former Kiwi who plays for the North Queensland Cowboys, Jason Taumalolo whose country had an incredible run to the semis which was held at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland (There was a strong Tongan contingent/presence there with 30,000 people attended the game) until their luck ran out due to the Australian referee Matt Cecchin not making a video referee decision in the dying seconds robbing the Tongans a chance for a place in the final) & the fall of New Zealand (The star man of the Kiwis is Martin Taupau of the Manly Sea Eagles because that was also disappointing for us which was our low point of the year due to our early exit in the quarterfinal against Fiji as well as the upset defeat/loss against Tonga in our final group game) in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup (Retained & won by Australia (Kangaroos) who beat England (Three Lions) in the final in Brisbane).
