Well, there is only 1 round remaining in the historic first ever Super Rugby Trans-Tasman competition as the Crusaders (Well, they can sneak a place by appearing another final (In an attempt to achieve the rare double just like South Africa (Who haven't played test match rugby since their success at the last Rugby World Cup in 2019 as they ended New Zealand's 8 year reign as the world champions in rugby union & is the only rugby playing nation to have never lost a RWC final) did in 2019 when they dominated both the Rugby Championship & the Rugby World Cup in the same year as well as the Exeter Chiefs last year in which they won both the European Rugby Champions Cup & Gallagher Premiership title last year) had taken victory against the Western Force at Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch but miss out on an attacking bonus point after Jordan Olowofela scored a vital try in the dying seconds to deny the Crusaders (Who are in fact the Springboks of Super Rugby) with a bonus point win against the Rebels in round 5) maximum points then the Blues hopes of hosting a final were boosted with a win against the Reds at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane to remain on top of the table then the Highlanders thrash the dreadful Waratahs side at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin to remain in the hunt of reaching the final then the resilient Brumbies team handed the Aussies their 2nd win against New Zealand opposition when they held on for the win against the Hurricanes (Who had the chance to win the game twice with Jordie Barrett attempted both penalty goal attempts but it had been missed not once but twice meaning that their hopes of reaching the final are all appeared to be over (And it must been the defence by the Brumbies (They have another home game against the Highlanders in the 5th & final round of Super Rugby Trans-Tasman) that have won them the game) & they had sent Du'Plessis Kirifi yellow carded for causing a high tackle during the 1st half after the pro Brumbies crowd complained that there was a high tackle violation before referee Paul Williams went to the TMO for foul play but the television match official spotted something when Kirifi was the culprit or should I say an offender, resulting in a sin binning) a night before the Chiefs (Who's hopes of reaching the final are all over rover) return to winning ways after losing to the Reds in round 3 after Damian McKenzie got sent off for a high hit as they defeated the Rebels at Leichhardt Oval in Sydney instead of Hamilton because of COVID-19 in the Australian state of Victoria.
And here is the list of round 3 matches being played in Super Rugby Trans-Tasman of 2021 (And it's now 18 & 2 between the Kiwi sides against Australian opposition after the Brumbies joined the Reds as one of the best Australian teams in the competition):
Hurricanes Vs Reds: Sky Stadium, Wellington
Brumbies Vs Highlanders: GIO Stadium, Canberra
Rebels Vs Crusaders: Leichhardt Oval, Sydney (They are still waiting for confirmation in wake of the corona virus in Victoria but they have now confirmed since the Australian state of Victoria has extended the COVID-19 state of emergency which had already been declared (And protective face masks have been mandated in public because they want to avoid getting a fine if they refuse to wear one)
Blues Vs Force: Eden Park, Auckland
& Waratahs Vs Chiefs: Lottoland, Sydney
And finally before we went to Rutland Arms yesterday, I had a conversation to Carole & Pops about the winner of Popstars NZ season 2 2021 because it went to Christabel Williams but 1st it was TrueBliss (Its members consisting of Megan Alatini (Who was once known as Megan Cassie before her marriage to former All Blacks, Highlanders, Hurricanes, Counties Manukau, Southland, Otago & Wellington rugby player Pita), Carly Binding (Who used to be a member), Joe Cotton, Keri Harper & Erika Takacs) back in 1999 who once took on the world before their dreams had been shattered but now have been performing reunion shows since.
So that is my 421st blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 41st of this year.
P.S. And I would like to give a shout out to my Aunty Tania for celebrating her 53rd birthday today (It's the 9th of June in Canada but tomorrow is her actual birthday (It'll be the 11th of June New Zealand time) after celebrating Dad's 52nd on Saturday & my 30th on Monday (The day before me & Pops got our 1st of 2 COVID-19 vaccine jab (Our next one is scheduled for the 29th of June) before we went to Dad & Raewyn's place for the unveiling of my late brother's carving & it was yesterday that we went to Specsavers for an appointment of my eye test as well as picking new glasses (I got both now (One is for the main one & the other is a spare or back up one) after mine broke on Saturday which forced me to wear sunglasses before we went to Hallenstein's to get 2 new rugby style jerseys (1 that I've got now & the other that is coming our way & it was last night that me, Pops & Carole went to Rutland Arms where I had a stockade burger for dinner) where I had a big breakfast before I opened my birthday presents & listened to my 2 Incubus & 1 A Perfect Circle albums that I've got now & played it with my CD player that I've borrowed from Pops & celebrated at Caroline's where I had pasta for dinner before having a birthday cake for dessert/pudding (And 3 people appreciated on Facebook when they sent Pops a comment of a picture of me reflecting on my 30th birthday such as Kalesi Malanicagi (Jona Nareki & Peceli's mother who I never met (I've only met Jona once last year but never met Peceli), Hera Condon-Orr (Who used to be my step sister before Dad met Raewyn as well as Jansen's half sister & now living in Brisbane with her Australian partner & is a mother now) & Jennifer Morgan (Who I now call her JMorgs as well as she is a bit of a Kathryn (Pops sister who now lives in Northland (And her son Ben is living here in Whanganui with his vegan partner Sanne (Who was once known as Robina before changing her name) lookalike & is a sister of both Marnie & Paul & the daughter of the late Vera Morgan).
