Locked Out/You Don't Get Me High Anymore/Every Day's a Saturday/Heavenly Pop Hit: My 43rd blog of the year 2024

Well, hey guys & girls, it's Whet here on my Kiwiavenger blog (And it is my first post Olympic Games blog since it ended at the closing ceremony that had taken place in Paris) but first, the All Blacks have done it, they have beaten Argentina (Who haven't played at Eden Park in Auckland since the 2011 Rugby World Cup quarterfinal which was won by the All Blacks 9 years before the Argentinians had their first win, out of 3 against us in Sydney in 2020) at the Garden of Eden at Eden Park in Auckland to maintain our unbeaten run at both the ground & at the city since 1995 therefore bouncing back from defeat in Wellington, & I mean what a turnaround it was (And what a difference that it made from defeat in Welly to a win in the City of Sails of Tamaki Makaurau while the try scorers for New Zealand were Damian McKenzie (Whose goal kicking is immaculate during the test), stand-in captain Ardie Savea, Caleb Clarke, Will Jordan not once but twice, & Beauden Barrett (And I mean what a way to exact payback after Wellington to win a test, therefore turning the tables on them as we defied the miserable conditions, but there was a yellow card against reserve hooker Asafo Aumua for an illegal head contact on Mateo Carreras (Just like Ethan Blackadder did on Joel Sclavi during our dreaded test at the Windy City), therefore the war on high tackles in rugby is still going as it rages on since World Rugby are coming down hard on dangerous, head high tackles when it was introduced in 2017 (Just like the guidelines on social media that prohibits abuse, hate & discrimination online, whether it's foul/colorful language, as well as both racism & homophobia (Or especially islamophobia towards Muslims & anti-semitism also towards the Jewish people) which does count as foul play just like deliberate knockdowns), meanwhile the Springboks go 2 & 0 in the Rugby Championship following another win against the Wallabies in Perth but bring on South Africa as the All Blacks next game is against the world champion Boks side at Ellis Park in Johannesburg which is a rematch of our ill-fated Rugby World Cup final from last year, in one of the best rivalries in not just of international rugby, but of sport as well.

And it's official that Paige Williams is now Paige Ahearn since she got married with her husband Jarrod while I tried to email her (And also I wrote a letter about her but I don't know her address & I'll give it to her next time when I go to the Windy City which is in January next year on a holiday with Pops, but I'll try & remember Paige's married name from now on) but she didn't respond because I did know that she's kinda tied up of looking after her daughter Norah back home in Wellington meaning that she's been incredibly busy lately according to Dad at The Cobb on the 19th of August, always damn busy taking care of her child, but it was a day earlier on August 18th that I heard that both Dad & Pops were having a red mist such as a heated argument between each other (Similar to an American Chopper episode that Paul Teutul Jr got fired from it from his father Paul Teutul Sr who was acting as boss for Orange County Choppers) for which I reacted & I didn't like while I was in my bedroom, saying that the foods from both the fridge & freezer whether that they should stay or should go, but they resolved their problems lately with both of them apologising to me in due course but I was urging Pops (Who probably learnt his lesson afterwards but he might have got some father problems towards Dad) not to buy any more meat for a fortnight (And I day later that I was laughing uncontrollably about it not only I was acting immature like a 5 year old, but this ain't no laughing matter needless to say).

And back to the rugby stuff that it has been revealed that the anthem singer named Marla Kavanaugh who sang the New Zealand national anthem during the AB's - Fiji game in San Diego where they had a warm reception & where she currently resides in the United States, is too scared to go back home to her country of birth of New Zealand due to her getting death threats as well as hateful abuse being sent from the New Zealand rugby fans who were hostile towards her, just like the GTA III game where the Italian Mafia gang at the St Mark's district (The most dangerous area in the game in the aftermath of Don Salvatore Leone who was shot dead by the game's protagonist Claude, but GTA IV has Little Italy in which has its equivalent of the St Mark's area) in Liberty City is routinely armed with shotguns due to Claude (Who the Mafia classified him as extremely hostile by shooting him dead when on foot or a car blows up instantly killing him if he's in a car with a shotty) assassinating Salvatore in the mission dubbed as Sayonara Salvatore (And that's the first time I referenced a story related from the highly controversial GTA series on my blogs, but am I alright by saying this?).

And finally that the America's Cup races is coming soon with start of the preliminaries in Barcelona, Spain which runs from Thursday on the 22nd to Sunday on the 25th (Friday to Monday New Zealand time) in which Emirates Team New Zealand will take part along with the 5 challengers from France, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom & the United States participating in the Louis Vuitton Cup, but I know it is back after 3 years away since ETNZ retained sailing's most treasured prize of the Auld Mug for our second successful defence with the main regatta due to get underway next month with the LV Cup then the AC match in October (And this year's AC is the first sporting event to take place following the Paris Olympics (Which is one of by far, my greatest moments of my life of all time in terms of watching sport on television in which I saw our country of New Zealand win none other than a record breaking 10 gold medals at the Olympic Games on TV (Including the Black Ferns rugby sevens team, Brooke Francis & Lucy Spoors, Finn 'The Butcher' Butcher, Ellesse Andrews not once but twice, Dame Lisa Carrington not once, not twice but 3 times (One with Tara Vaughan, Olivia Brett & Alicia Hoskin (Who got the gold not once but twice just like Andrews), the 2nd with Hoskin & the 3rd on her own when she had gone solo), Lydia 'Lyds' Ko & Hamish Kerr), the most by NZ since Los Angeles in 1984 (Which was the most successful for our country at the Olympics to date until 40 years later in Paris where we took over from LA of being NZ's greatest ever Olympics spectacle but most electrifying of all time) & it was better than the All Blacks retaining the Rugby World Cup in 2015 in England after our epic victory in the final against the Wallabies at Twickenham in London, then it was much sweeter than Emirates Team New Zealand's second successful defence of the America's Cup on home waters in Auckland in 2021 in a year which was still marred by the COVID pandemic, & more meaningful than the Black Caps inaugural WTC (World Test Championship) triumph against India in the final at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton in the same year) & the third of this year along with the Euros in Germany (Won by Spain who pulverised England in the final in Berlin to claim their first Euros championship since 2012, & the first to win 4 titles in order to become the most successful football playing nation from the European continent) & the Olympic Games in the French capital of Paris like I said before).

So that is my 567th blog of the year 2024 (MMXXIV) & my 43rd of this year, viva Ukraine & Palestine.
