Well, kia ora guys, & welcome to our readers here in New Zealand, & around the world, I'm Whetu Ngapo & you're tuning in to my KiwiAvenger blog here on blogger, but first that back in Brisbane, Australia I heard that Hera (Who used to be my step-sis until I found out that I'm friends with her, especially on Facebook) is getting married to an Aussie man of Brendan Baker (Well, we remain old foes with the Aussies especially on the sporting field such as rugby, cricket, league & football/soccer despite having decent relations with them between us both countries) after giving birth to her second child of daughter Charli (Sister of Willow), but this is very exciting stuff (And I saw Jans for the first time since May which was the year before on the 5th of January (A day before the 10 year anniversary of the late Nan who passed away on that fateful day of January 6th (It's been 5 years since that terrible Capitol riots took place at Washington D.C. in 2021 when that dreadful American leader had lost the election to Joe Biden, so that's why that the losing US President's supporters were mad at each other as they protested about overturning the results of the election that triggered a civil unrest which ended in multiple arrests by the riot police squad for that was really rubbish, then they declared a curfew where everyone had to remain in their homes due to a clamp down being enforced on further protests as well as a freedom of speech (There will be martial law if the protestors transgress again, even if they fail to suppress), then martial legislation where armed forces such as the National Guard take control in time for the inauguration of a new leader of Biden at the time) that was a decade ago back in 2016 (That's 9 years before Carole (Who first met Pops back in 2017 a year after Nan died) passed away as well on November 17th last year) after a short battle with a terminal illness, so me & Pops will pay respects to her when we go to Nan's grave) at Caroline's with Dad & Raewyn when I was with Pops).
And secondly in music that the music bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Nickelback, U2 & Metallica, are similar to the video game fighting game series like Tekken, Soul, Dead or Alive, Virtua Fighter & Mortal Kombat even though the songs like 'Californication', 'Everlong', 'In the End', 'How You Remind Me', 'Beautiful Day' & 'Nothing Else Matters', being written by a member of a music band exactly share the same role as fighting game characters like Jin Kazama, Siegfried, Kasumi, Akira Yuki & Liu Kang, although the cover songs are like guest characters who appear in a fighting game.
And thirdly on to the gaming that I've purchased the cross-gen edition of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 on the PS4 & PS5 digitally since I already own a physical copy to add to THPS 3 + 4 to my collection, & the reason why? Is that I have 16 games that I've got both physically & digitally such as Tekken 7, Need for Speed Payback, Star Wars Battlefront II 2017, Soulcalibur VI, Need for Speed Heat, Rugby Challenge 4, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, Gran Turismo 7, Tekken 8, Tiebreak: The Official Game of ATP & WTA, Rugby 25, Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge 4, the aforementioned Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, Rugby League 26, & Cricket 26 (And I managed to purchase 4 old PlayStation 2 retro games on January 7th, both at EB Games such as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 & FIFA 10, & also both at Cash Converters like Need for Speed Underground & Cricket 2004 (I originally thought that I was going to purchase that NRL Rugby League game from 2003, but I managed to turn down the offer due to the disc had been scratched, & I think I've got the first Star Wars Battlefront game from 2004 somewhere in my bedroom that Aunty Tan purchased it for me).
And lastly that last year marked the 40th anniversary of that dreadful bombing of the Rainbow Warrior by both French agents (Who posed as Swiss tourists when the pair got arrested there before pleading guilty to manslaughter & wilful damage which resulted in a 10 year jail sentence) in Auckland before the boat embarked & were on their way to a protest against nuclear testing in the Pacific as one crew member from Portugal named Fernando Pereira got presumably drowned while trying to retrieve his camera equipment following the first explosion that caused a major turbulence between both countries of New Zealand & France, as well as friction with allies like the UK & the United States who were seen as failing to strongly condemn the attack as the bombing galvanized New Zealand's anti-nuclear movement, contributing to the country's formal 1987 law issuing a nuclear-free area as the French paid US $8.1 million to Greenpeace & NZ $13 million to New Zealand in compensation, but they had services in both Auckland & Matauri Bay during their 40 year commemoration 6 months ago as of January this year in July 2025.
So that is my 670th blog of the year 2026 (MMXXVI) & my 22nd of this year, viva Ukraine.
