My interesting stories to tell about Pops as well as my controversial thoughts surrounding the band name

Well, here are some interesting stories to tell about Pops that I was involved in an accident once back in 2006 during our family trip to Auckland where a musician was late to his gig then this happened that an accident had been occurred & Pops told the guy who crashed into him that Pops good friend of his, Russell Karu is a Harvard University trained lawyer but then I famously made a comment about it ''Somebody get me to Middlemore hospital, I have been involved in a crash!'' (Well, that's funny just to clarify about my famous comment that I uttered but I was lucky that I was unhurt in that crash) then 14 years later in 2020 (That was the Corona virus affected year) that Pops got a pair of cowboy boots from that shop in Taupo to show it to Carole & it ended up only one (The young shop worker was just working only his 2nd day into his job) so he decided to go back to the shop to get the missing boot & he got it straight away meaning that he was a relieved man but nearly a year later this year in late May - early June, Pops brought both a jacket & a new whisky from that shop & paid it of course until he found out that he forgot to check the price which says $1,089 instead of $189 before later corrected it & the rest was history.

And finally I once heard about my favourite Kiwi/New Zealand rock band of Shihad changing their band name to Pacifier but it's been 20 years since 9/11 happened especially the American city of New York City, New York with the destruction of the twin towers of the World Trade Center by hijacked planes as well as the Pentagon were under attack by its terrorist group al-Qaeda led by its Saudi Arabian born leader, the late Osama bin-Laden (Who was gunned down by US Navy SEALs in Pakistan in 2011) therefore declaring a war on terror according to the Bush administration under the leadership of the US president at the time of George W Bush because I remember the time Shihad were about to perform a concert in the US (They were about to make a new album due to release in 2002, 2 years after their success with The General Electric (A successful album released by the band in 1999) including the band's biggest hit to impress the members of a record company, Warner Music Group, until they got replaced in the last minute when September 11th happened & I remember a news report that the band name Shihad sounded too much like jihad (And most fans were pacified that the name of the band has had links to too many terrorist associations in America) & they were felt like frauds when they made the right decision to change the band name to Pacifier that they used to avoid confusion & controversy surrounding the tragedy of 9/11 until in 2004 in which they decided to revert the old band name of Shihad (They used the name of the band from its formation in Wellington (The band has since been based in Melbourne, Australia) from 1988 until 2002 due to the September 11th tragedy that they had in the United States when they toured, forcing them to drastically undergo a name change (From Shihad in which the band members of Jon Toogood (Lead singer & rhythm guitarist), Phil Knight (Lead guitarist), Karl Kippenberger (Bass player) & Tom Larkin (Drummer) thought it was involuntary due to its links involving terrorism in the United States of America (USA), & replaced it with Pacifier) which lasted for 2 years & since 2004).

So that is my 442nd blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 42nd of this year.

P.S. And it has been 4 years since the tragic deaths of both American rock music icons, the late Chris Cornell of both Audioslave & Soundgarden fame in May 2017 & of course, the late Chester Bennington from the ever popular nu metal band Linkin Park (Along with Korn & Limp Bizkit as the other nu metal rock bands) in July 2017 (2 months after Cornell passed away) so I want to pay tribute to both of them (And I listened to Linkin Park today in honor & memory of Bennington so I got both of the albums that I own such as Hybrid Theory 20th anniversary edition & Meteora (I listened to their hit songs like One Step Closer (One of my favourite Linkin Park songs of all time), In The End, Somewhere I Belong (My favourite song taken from the Meteora album) & Numb).

News I have missed so far (July 2021 edition)

Well, I have now just broken the record for most number of blogs in a month with 15 but the Olympic Games in Tokyo is now officially underway (It was going to be held last year but due to the corona virus, it had to be moved to this year along with Euro 2020 (Won by Italy who had just beaten England on penalties in the final at Wembley Stadium in London to win their 1st European Football Championship title in 53 years) which took place last month & this month) & I didn't see the opening ceremony but news had just come in as the Trans-Tasman bubble is likely to close with 130+ confirmed number of corona virus cases in New South Wales according to the Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Adern because now that Australia is in a worsening state of COVID-19.

And we had a great day yesterday that we had a Saturday roast dinner for our big lunch & had a great korero to our visitors especially Leon, Michelle, Brian, Christine & Carole who came here for our occasion at our place.

And finally there is some sports news related to the rugby such as Hawke's Bay retain the Ranfurly Shield against East Coast in a shield challenge at McLean Park in Napier followed by Tonga (Fresh off from losing to Samoa twice in the 2023 Rugby World Cup pacific qualifying tournament) who have just completely annihilated the Cooks Islands at Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe to advance through to the Asia-Pacific qualification playoff for Rugby World Cup 2023 but the main headlines is the British & Irish Lions knock over the World Champion Springbok side (Who had their 1st defeat in nearly 2 years since the opening pool B encounter against the All Blacks at the International Stadium in Yokohama, Japan during Rugby World Cup 2019 & were on a 7 game winning streak going into the match after thumping Georgia in a one off test at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria (Their 1st match since their triumph at the RWC against England in the final in Japan on the 2nd of November, 2019) in a close encounter (Including Owen Farrell's penalty goal before full time which proved to be the game changer/turning point in the match) in the 1st test of the test series at Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town without any spectators due to the corona virus that has happened throughout South Africa.

So that is my 441st blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 41st of this year.

International rugby news week 4 (My controversial point of view about Koroibete getting red carded) & 2021 Copa America final review (My last blog before the Olympics)

Well, & in other international rugby news such as Samoa have secured qualification to Rugby World Cup 2023 after taking victory against Tonga just before the All Blacks - Fiji clash in Hamilton then the 14 man Wallabies (Who had Wallaby winger Marika Koroibete red carded by New Zealand referee Ben O'Keeffe (Who what I thought should never ever referee a test match again, that is disgraceful...Because it was one of the most controversial decisions in the history of test rugby since Irish referee Alain Rolland sent Welsh captain Sam Warburton off under controversial circumstances for a tip tackle on French winger Vincent Clerc during the 2011 Rugby World Cup semifinal between Wales & France at Eden Park in Auckland) for a dangerous tackle on French skipper Anthony Jelonch (Who to I thought he was faking an injury by milking the penalty because he simulated like a football player (Unlike German Jurgen Klinsmann who took a dive to allow Pedro Monzon getting controversially sent off by the referee during the 1990 Football World Cup final at Rome in Italy) in the 4th minute during the test but I thought that Koroibete had not been sent off for foul play which was thought to be controversial (And there has been an update that Koroibete has not been suspended for causing a high tackle so he is free to play the All Blacks in the 1st Bledisloe Cup test after the judiciary founded him that he was cleared after getting sent off in the previous test which had been revoked & overturned) because there was no dangerous contact to the head & I was like when I reacted to Koroibete's red card offence: Awww come on! And the crowd was jeering when Koroibete got dismissed because they weren't even happy although Jelonch faked an injury but he was like getting shot by a sniper according to New Zealand born Wallaby coach Dave Rennie & I mean I label the red card by Koroibete as embarrassing & shameful & that didn't cost the Wallabies a fighting chance of winning the test series decider (And they managed to overcome the red card instead as a result) topple France in Brisbane (It was originally going to be held in Sydney, but the venue had to change due to the corona virus (Although COVID-19 can be easily mistaken by a cold with symptoms like a cough, runny nose or a sore throat. But if anyone sees if they contract or pick up the virus, they must quarantine them immediately) which has happened in the state of New South Wales) with a match winning penalty by Wallaby first five Noah Lolesio in the 78th minute (With only 2 minutes to spare which proved to be the game changer/turning point) to win the series decider by 3 points in the 3rd & final test & the British & Irish Lions return to winning ways after losing to South Africa A which fielded its test stars by beating the DHL Stormers in Cape Town in a Lions rugby tour match which was struck by the corona virus.

And in football news such as Argentina winning the Copa America title after 28 years by beating hosts Brazil in the final (It was held before the final of the Euros at Wembley in London in which Italy totally dominated on penalties against England) at the Maracana in Rio without any spectators with Lionel Messi finally ending his wait of achieving a title in international level after successfully dominating in club level (Unlike his good friend Neymar had won an Olympic gold medal before back in 2016 & Leo's main rival Cristiano Ronaldo had won a European Football Championship in the same year).

And finally that I have decided to take a self imposed break from blogging with the Olympics in Tokyo which is about to start this Friday with the scaled down version of the opening ceremony taking place.

So that is my 440th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 40th of this year.

P.S. Well, I love my Xbox One now since I have been playing Forza Motorsport 7 since April this year (It has been revealed before I owned the Xbox One that I wanted an Xbox One console because of the Forza Motorsport 7 game that I still got & loved it as of today) but I prefer the PS4 as my favourite gaming console ever since I own the majority of the games (There are 27 physical & 11 digital PS4 games that I own).

And finally that there is an interesting story that the only time the Springboks lost at Rugby World Cup 2019 was against the All Blacks (Who famously lost to England in the semifinal ending the All Blacks 8 year reign as the world champions in rugby union because 2019 wasn't that great & when we lost to the English, I wasn't overly impressed about it) before recovering to win all 6 matches (Including wins over Namibia, Italy & Canada in the pool games, previous hosts Japan in the quarterfinals (Including Tendai Mtawarira nearly got sent off as he was shown the yellow card by the referee for a lifting tackle on Japanese prop forward Keita Inagaki), Wales in the semifinal (With star first five Handre Pollard provided that clutch moment after Wales had given away a penalty with a match winning penalty goal that put them through to the final) & the AB's conquerors England (Who were favourites going into the final against the Springboks) in the final (Both wingers Makazole Mapimpi & Cheslin Kolbe were the Boks (Who had to lose both Bongi Mbonambi & Lood de Jager through injuries during the game as they were replaced by both Malcolm Marx & Franco Mostert respectively unlike in the Euro 2016 final that the Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo left the field with an injury during the 1st half of the final but somehow managed to win the Euros against hosts France with a goal scored by Eder during extra time just like Spaniard Andres Iniesta & German Mario Goetze did for their country of winning the Football World Cup in both 2010 & 2014) 1st try scorers of the final of the RWC in which South Africa dominated the match after Kyle Sinckler (Who had to be replaced by reserve prop forward Dan Cole who played for the remainder of the final for 77 or 78 minutes (And the English scrum after Sinckler went off were easily overpowered by the South African scrum a couple of times during the final in which I label the Springbok scrum as brutal) went off with a head knock in the 2nd or 3rd minute of the game after being accidentally elbowed by his English teammate Maro Itoje) which was a rematch of the 2007 final to win their 1st Rugby World Cup title since 2007 (And 3rd overall to add to their success in 1995) en route to world glory unlike at the 1999 RWC that it was against the United States that the only try the Wallabies had ever conceded/given away (Juan Grobler was the try scorer who dotted it down against Australia during the pool game) during the tournament.

All Blacks Vs Fiji 2nd test review

Well, the All Blacks (Who were without prop forward Karl Tu'inukuafe (Shoulder) & his Blues teammate & open side flanker Dalton Papali'i (Calf), through injuries) have won a test series 2 - 0 against Fiji (Who had lost stand-in skipper Leone Nakarawa (Who is filling in for the injured Levani Botia) after being yellow carded for 10 minutes by Australian referee Damon Murphy in the 38th minute for repeated infringements) 2 days ago at FMG Waikato Stadium in Hamilton with another comprehensive thrashing in the 2nd test with Sevu Reece (Attended St Bede's College during his secondary school days then used to play for Waikato & is now playing for Tasman in the Bunnings NPC as well as the Crusaders in Super Rugby) getting a hat trick of tries against his country of birth during the 1st half as well as the memorable debut for Chiefs & Waikato player Samisoni Taukei'aho (Called in as Dane Coles had been withdrawn from the match day 23 with an injury before the match & he hardly spoke any English when he 1st arrived to New Zealand because he was a native Tongan speaker which was an incredible story) as he gets a double during the 2nd half as the AB's outscored the Fijians 9 tries to 1 so here is the live updates coming to you from Newshub:

Kia ora and welcome to live updates of the second test between the All Blacks v Fiji from FMG Stadium in the city of the future, Hamilton.

Both sides have a fresh feel about them this weekend, after last week's intensely physical showdown under the Glad Wrap in Dunedin, where the Fijians pushed their highly vaunted opponents much closer than the 57 - 23 scoreline suggests.

The tourists will have to work even harder to match the Kiwis on Saturday, with the loss of talismanic captain Levani Botia to injury a huge blow for Fiji to negotiate, although the arrival of first-string halfback Frank Lomani mitigates the skipper's absence.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks have reverted to a line-up that seems to closer resembles their first XV, with Ardie Savea and Anton Lienert-Brown's return from long injury layoffs sure to add even more impetus to their performance.

Join us for all the action from 7pm.

6:54 PM: The rain has eased considerably at FMG Stadium, and the ground's exceptional drainage should ensure we get some classic, open running rugby between these two.

6:56 PM: Huge ovation for the Fijian side, as they take the park. Clearly no shortage of supporters for the Drua in the Tron tonight. The All Blacks and their fans follow suit. Anthems underway.

7:02 PM: Respective challenges on the way form both teams. Who'll lead the All Blacks' haka in the absence of Dane Coles, who was a late injury scratch? Aaron Smith does the honours, as they lay down Ka Mate.

We're underway...

1ST MINUTE: Fiji kick off and we're into business. Reece receives and nails a monster punt right back to the Fijian 22m.

2ND MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: High tackle from Reece is penalised (Dangerous tackle), Fiji's Volavola finds touch at halfway.

3RD MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Break from Fiji! Buliruarua into a big gap from a slick setpiece move, wide they go and the movement breaks down, as McKenzie taps a pass into touch. Fiji lineout, and they move within 10m....

4TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY GOAL FIJI: Fiji penalty advantage cashed in, penalty right in the shadow of the posts. A gift three points for Volavola caps a superb start for the visitors. (Fiji 3 - 0)

6TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): Scrum Fiji at their own 22m, after NZ knock on at the restart.

7TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: McKenzie takes the clearing kick, hands to Havili who is hammered in the centre of FMG. Savea carries powerfully, NZ nab a penalty for offside. NZ will throw a line out at the Fiji 22m.

9TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): Taylor overthrows at the line out and Fiji claim the ball and clear. McKenzie cleans up at the back but sends the return punt out on the full. Fiji line out at the NZ 22m and here comes the drive...All Blacks do well to keep the ball off the deck and secure a turnover.

11TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Mo'unga takes the ball form the scrum and peels off a good 40m with a low, searing kick. Line out at the Fiji 10m, stolen by the All Blacks. NZ penalized for going off their feet at the ruck (Player leaving feet), Volavola takes Fiji to a line out near the NZ 22m.

13TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Buliruarua met hard in midfield by Savea. Defensive penalty (Not releasing ball) goes NZ's way & they clear back to halfway.

14TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: Hands in the ruck gives NZ a penalty. They turn down a straightforward shot at goal to set up a 22m line out.

15TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION: Beautifully worked move form the lineout sees David Havili cut inside the Fijian defence, before finding a streaking Reece with a deft backhand flick to go under the crossbar. (NZ 7 - 3)

17TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Ioane offside from the restart, Fiji will have another crack at the goalposts. 22m on the angle...down the middle it goes. (NZ 7 - 6)

19TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY & SCRUM: Fiji win an immediate penalty from the restart (Kicking through ruck). Superb work by Barrett at the line out to steal the throw and go to ground while keeping it safe. Wins an NZ scrum at the Fiji 10m. Clever box kick by Smith pins Fiji inside their own 5m.

21ST MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Pays off for NZ, but their line out ball is stolen yet again. Fiji clear to halfway, McKenzie brave under the high ball and NZ win a penalty. Another poor lineout and Fiji win it back quickly.

24TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: All Blacks scrum at their own 22m, penalty goes their way for not pushing straight (Front row angling in). Mo'unga sets up a line out near the Fiji 10m.

25TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: NZ drive from the line out. ALB crash ball, bet that felt good. Fiji offside, and again, they turn down a handy shot at goal for a 5m line out. Taylor with a crooked throw, and the attacking lineout woes continue for NZ.

27TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY GOAL: NZ line out at the Fijian 22m, this time it's clean. Audacious effort at the ruck hands NZ a penalty, and they finally decide to point to the posts. That's a nod of respect to the Fijians. Mo'unga slots it. (NZ 10 - 6)

30TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), SCRUM: Mo'unga clears from the restart and Murimurivalu drops it stone cold. Scrum NZ at the Fijian 22m, great attacking opportunity.

31ST MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION: Simple blindside play from the scrum, well read by Smith, who hits Mo'unga at pace, and Reece is on hand to finish in the corner. Mo'unga sends it over the black dot from the sideline. (NZ 17 - 6)

34TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Fiji do well to regain possession from the restart. Breakdown infringement lets the All Blacks off, Mo'unga with another screamer touch finder, and NZ are back on attack at the Fiji 22m.

36TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Mo'unga under duress, hot steps past three defenders and finds Reece, 5m out now. Penalty advantage blown up for NZ. Referee wants a card-related chat with Fiji skipper Nakarawa.

37TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION: Mo'unga with a cheeky quick tap from the penalty. Smith's wide pass from the ruck doesn't find its mark but bounces fortuitously for Reece, who strolls in out wide unmarked for a first-half hat-trick. Mo'unga can't convert. (NZ 22 - 6)

38TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), YELLOW CARD: Yellow card for Fiji captain Leone Nakarawa for repeated infringements in the lead up to that try.

40TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): NZ drive an effective maul from the restart, clever kick over the top from Smith forces Fiji to make a play and they're into touch. one final shot here from NZ, as the hooter sounds...

41ST MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION: Quick pick and go play by the All Blacks heavyweights and the Fijians can't scramble in defence, as Ardie Savea powers his way over the line to mark his 50th test with a try. Mo'unga converts to sends us to the sheds. (NZ 29 - 6)

HALF TIME

Second half underway...

41ST MINUTE, SCRUM - Oh no, Nadolo drops the restart cold. Fiji under immense pressure early in the half, as the All Blacks pack the scrum...

42ND MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION: A strong crash ball from Havili puts NZ on the front foot, and Mo'unga puts Will Jordan into a gaping hole to dot down untouched. Mo'unga converts (NZ 36 - 6).

44TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), SUBSTITUTION & PENALTY: Jordan hobbles off after that try, clutching at his hamstring. Rieko Ioane takes the field. Fiji suddenly on attack from a penalty for a side entry (Joining ruck incorrectly)...

45TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY FIJI: They set the maul from the 5m lineout and just as the it looks to be going to ground, prop Peni Ravai peels off the opposite direction and crashes over the line. Volavola converts, and we're off to a flyer in this second 40. (NZ 36 - 13)

47TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Ball taken into touch from the restart by Fiji, a failed attempt at claiming it out on the full. Penalty NZ, scrum from 5m out and alarm bells ringing.

49TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Another perfectly execute setpiece, Jacobson off the back of the scrum to Mo'unga down the blindside, who puts a pinpoint pass on Rieko Ioane's chest for an easy try. (NZ 43 - 13)

52ND MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Fiji work through the phases near midfield. Penalty goes their way, line out at the NZ 22m.

54TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): NZ steal the line out throw, look to attack through McKenzie, whose grubber for Reece is too strong and into touch.

55TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SUBSTITUTION: Samisoni Taukei'aho enters the fray for his first All Blacks cap, as Taylor - who won't remember this match too fondly - heads to the sideline.

56TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SCRUM: Mo'unga creates something out of nothing, dancing through defenders to peel off 20m and link with Jacobson, whose tough pass inside is knocked on. That was full touch mode from Mo'unga.

58TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Intentional knock on (Deliberate knock down) goes against Fiji, somewhat harshly. All Blacks drive it it from 5m out...

59TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION MISS: Textbook driving maul from the line out lead by substitute Brodie Retallick and finished off by the debutant himself - Samisoni Taukei'aho. Ya love to see it. Beauden Barrett - on for Mo'unga - can't convert. (NZ 48 - 13)

62ND MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Volavola intercept! The first-five has 40m in front of him but McKenzie hits the afterburners, drags him down inches short, then springs to his feet to win the penalty (Holding on). What a play by the local hero.

66TH MINUTE (4 MINUTES LATER), SUBSTITUTION & PENALTY: The All Blacks ring the changes from the bench, as they build towards the Fiji 10m. McKenzie can't handle a low pass, Fiji will feed the scrum at the NZ 10m. No, they've had another look at this, penalty to NZ (No arms tackle).

67TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION: Shannon Frizell raises the 50, burrowing over from a metre out to capitalise on a barnstorming midfield bust by Taukei'aho. Barrett converts (NZ 55 - 13)

74TH MINUTE (7 MINUTES LATER), SCRUM: All Blacks on the attack, Reece dancing around defenders. 10m short. Knock-on sees the movement breakdown.

78TH MINUTE (4 MINUTES LATER): Getting a bit sloppy out here as the game draws to a close. Perhaps one final crack from a midfield scrum for the All Blacks.

82ND MINUTE (4 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION MISS: A double for the debutant! Taukei'aho sent over in the corner by Ardie Savea from a 5m lineout maul to put the icing on the cake. Barrett can't convert (NZ 60 - 13).

FULL TIME: A much improved effort by the All Blacks against the plucky Fijians.

ALL BLACKS 60 (Sevu Reece 3, Samisoni Taukei'aho 2, Ardie Savea, Will Jordan, Rieko Ioane, Shannon Frizell tries; Richie Mo'unga 5 con, pen, Beauden Barrett con)

FIJI 13 (Peni Ravai try; Ben Volavola con, 2 pen).

Injury chances in rugby & my day today so far

Well, I've got one thing to tell you that the chances of getting injured while playing rugby appears to be high according to a few people have taken up the sport in terms of the dangerous nature of the game as I mentioned in my previous blog that I did in February about rugby players ended up getting concussed just like former England hooker Steve Thompson being diagnosed with early stage dementia.

And finally it was today that me, Pops & Carole went to Mint Cafe where I had a mac & cheese pattie burger & chips with the Heineken zero beer that I had before I was having an Oreo (I never had Oreos before until now but kids can always have it) cheesecake for dessert & a mocha & I enjoyed that day listening to music a lot especially Andrea Bocelli along with Cafe De Paris (Who I now always listen, still invoking of my childhood memories) & my traditional rock sound of A Perfect Circle, Incubus & Linkin Park as well as playing the Xbox a lot (I secretly played the 2005 version of Star Wars Battlefront II that Dad has on his PC & my new favourite racing game which is Forza Motorsport 7 (The Forza 7 game was way better than my favourite PS4 racing game that I had, Gran Turismo Sport) & always checking my blogs now (I watched some of the replay of the last All Blacks - Fiji test in Dunedin when it was shown on Sky Sport 1 on TV) but I now do 3 or 4 things daily: Play the PS4 & Xbox One as well as edit & post my blogs, listen to music on the CD player I borrowed from Pops & sometimes or occasionally watch sport on the telly (And I've got to go to EB Games tomorrow to get my new F1 2021 PS4 game (The F1 2021 game doesn't feature classic F1 machinery from the past like in F1 2013, F1 2017, F1 2018, F1 2019 & F1 2020 but will feature only modern F1 machinery (There are 2 new constructors competing in F1 this year such as Alpine (Formerly Renault) & Aston Martin (Used to be known as Racing Point) & F2 from last year) that I pre-ordered but I have got that receipt & I'll do my best not to lose it).

So that is my 438th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 58th of this year.

All Blacks team naming against Fiji (2021 edition, part 2)

Well, the All Blacks have named their team today according to coach Ian Foster in the 2nd & final test against Fiji (Our last meeting between both sides was 5 days ago in which we walloped the Fijians (Whose loose forward department had been dominant in the 1st half before Coles came on & dominated the 2nd half for New Zealand) at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin with Dane Coles picking up 4 tries after coming on from the bench to replace regular hooker Codie Taylor) at FMG Stadium Waikato (Home ground of the Chiefs in Super Rugby & the Waikato provincial team competing in the Bunnings NPC) in Hamilton so here is the starting lineup in it's entirety:

PLAYING XV

& 23. Rieko Ioane (Who is also dropped to the bench to also make way for the returning Anton Lienert-Brown (Who has recovered after missing the 1st 2 tests with a serious elbow injury) to start at centre)

And in other rugby news such as France (Who'll face the All Blacks in the opening match of the 2023 Rugby World Cup) finally win a test match on Australian soil in 31 years as they defeated the Wallabies to square the ledger in the 3 match test series at AAMI Park in Melbourne (Well, Victoria may be heading to a state of emergency shutdown again (Compared to the Australian state of New South Wales which has gone from bad to worse) after the confirmed number of corona virus cases has increased compared to England or the UK easing the restrictions that they had) then South Africa A hand the British & Irish Lions their 1st defeat in which they won the match by 4 points during the Lions rugby tour to South Africa disrupted by COVID-19 at Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town.

So that is my 437th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 57th of this year.

News I have just missed (July 2021 edition + my 1st post Euro 2020 blog)

Well, after England's disappointment in the final of the Euros on penalties against Italy (Who have now won the Euros twice in 1968 & 2020 (It was played this year in 2021 because it was originally going to be played last year before the corona virus had happened) at Wembley Stadium (The traditional home of English football) in London which cost them a shot of winning their 1st UEFA European Football Championship title because it is time to move on from the football after that (The next major sporting event is the summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan (There's not going to be any crowds attending the events because of COVID-19 but our gold medal hopefuls for New Zealand are kayaker Lisa Carrington (Well, she hasn't lost her form after her gold medal success in both London in 2012 & Rio de Janeiro in 2016 (She also won bronze in another event), sailors Peter Burling & Blair Tuke (Silver medalists in London 2012, gold medalists in Rio in 2016 & dual America's Cup champions in both Bermuda in 2017 & Auckland this year with Emirates Team New Zealand) as well as the Sarah Hirini led Black Ferns sevens (Who are expected to go one better than in Rio in 2016 when they missed out completely on the gold after losing to Australia in the gold medal match) in rugby sevens & Tom Walsh (Who won the bronze medal back at the last Olympics in Rio in 2016) in the athletics (Track & field) shot put event hoping to become New Zealand's 1st male shot put Olympic champion) but news just come in that I have missed that there are confirmed reports in Australia that there are 97 people have contracted the corona virus in the state of New South Wales, 97! But they still going to extend the state of emergency shutdown as a result because now that NSW is in a worsening state of COVID-19 (And we had ours vaccinated twice last month here in Whanganui to protect themselves). But I had a great day when I was with Pops when I had chicken tikka masala for a big lunch at Trafalgar then we had soup for a light dinner as well as I always check my blogs as well as play both the PS4 & Xbox One consoles & listen to my music albums on my CD player that I borrowed from Pops (I listened to both Andrea Bocelli (Whose Italian because I listened to him in honor of Italy's success in the Euros this year yesterday but I did not know that Bocelli is blind when Leon told me) & Cafe de Paris before I went straight to the traditional rock sound of both A Perfect Circle & Incubus) every day.

And finally there is some football news I have just missed over the past 11 months such as last years FA Cup champions Arsenal winning the FA Community Shield on penalties against Liverpool (Who won the Premier League last year) at Wembley Stadium in London then last years Champions League winners Bayern Munich winning the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla (Who won the Europa League last year) in Budapest followed 8 months later by Leicester City winning their 1st FA Cup, defeating Chelsea in the final at Wembley before Chelsea redeemed themselves after losing to Leicester City in the FA Cup final by winning their 2nd UEFA Champions League title against Manchester City in Porto (It was originally going to be held at Istanbul but the venue had to change when the UEFA Champions League final was held in Portugal again just like last year, this time it was held in Porto) but I am going to do my blog tomorrow about the All Blacks team naming for the 2nd & final test against Fiji at FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton.

So that is my 436th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 56th of this year.

Nessun Dorma: Italy triumph in the Euros

Well, Italy have done it at long last after 53 years! As they denied England a maiden European Football Championship on penalties in the final at Wembley Stadium in London this morning New Zealand time (Just after Novak 'Djoker' Djokovic winning the men's singles final at Wimbeldon against Italian Matteo Berrettini on Italy's big day) by winning their 2nd title. But the match started when English player Luke Shaw scoring the a goal that put them in the lead after 3 minutes during the 1st half but in the 2nd half at the 57th minute, Italian defender Leonardo 'Leo' Bonucci (Who is heading on holiday with his teammate in both club & country, Italian captain Giorgio Chellini after the country's triumph at Euro 2020) equalized by silencing the English crowd, forcing to go into penalties, but it was Italy's night, as they triumphed to win on penalties to win Euro 2020 (And the England fans were shattered, they were completely devastated that they lost on penalties (Including errors from Marcus Rashford & Jadon Sancho as well as Bakayou Saka who attempted a shot saved by Italian goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma (Who may be considering a move to Paris St Germain which is worth 50 million euros) which proved to be the game changer/turning point in the final that let them down) resulting in a national mourning after letting them off the hook as they missed out on winning the Euros (And I mean what a disappointing end to England, what a match for our viewers right around the world) but I'm surprised that Italy won (& unfortunately for the English, football isn't coming home because football is coming in Rome instead after the Italian success in Euro 2020 but I wonder the headlines would say: FANTASTICO! ITALY BREAK ENGLISH HEARTS TO WIN THE EUROS or more like: MAMMA MIA! ENGLAND FALL TO THE ITALIANS ON PENALTIES AT EURO 2020) & I had to rewrite history tonight to play the PES 2021 Season Update game on the PS4 where I played as England against Italy & won (As well as I listened to both the late Luciano Pavarotti & Andrea Bocelli in honor of Italy's success in the Euros but I'll listen to Cafe de Paris if France win the Rugby World Cup in 2023) unlike the French were backing England while the Scottish were in favor of Italy from that perspective.

And finally my last thoughts after Euro 2020? It was heartbreaking for England (Who had blown the opportunity to win the Euros on penalties in the final but the drought of winning a major football tournament continues) on their home patch but it's Italy's joy at the end (First time since 1968 in which they triumphed at the Euros (Their 2nd European Championship title overall along with France (Champions in 1984 & 2000) but leading the all time list is both Germany (Champions in 1972, 1980 & 1996) & Spain at 3 (Champions in 1964, 2008 & 2012) & 1st time that they won a major football tournament in 15 years when they won the Football World Cup in 2006 (Their 4th overall (To add to their previous titles in 1934, 1938 & 1982) along with Germany (World champions in 1954, 1974, 1990 & 2014) as the most successful European country at the Football World Cup but leading the all time list is Brazil (Champions in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 & 2002) at 5) as well as a magnificent but tremendous turnaround for the Italians (Who came, saw & conquered the Euros in emphatic style) to change the nations fortunes around after missing the last Football World Cup in 2018 because they failed to qualify as I mentioned before in my previous blogs) so they'll be celebrating at places like Rome (Roma), Milan (Milano), Turin (Torino), Venice (Venezia), Naples (Napoli), Palermo, Bologna & Genoa but Italy's triumph at the Euros was a whole new meaning, sparking a revival in Italian football (3 years after France triumphed against Croatia in the final of the Football World Cup in 2018 (20 years after their last triumph in 1998 against the defending world champions at the time, Brazil on home turf) which marked the revival of French football, but the world champion French side were completely outplayed on penalties against Switzerland (Who coincidentally, the Italians beat in the group stages before losing to Spain (Italy's opponents in the semifinal in which the Italians prevailed on penalties) in the quarterfinal on penalties) in the round of 16 of Euro 2020).

So that is my 435th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 55th of this year.

All Blacks Vs Fiji 1st test review

Well, the Aaron 'Nuggy Nugget'' Smith led All Blacks continue their dominance with a thumping against Fiji who had found a competitive edge (And I mean the Fijian loose forwards were dynamic when they made the difference when Pops told me about it before Dane Coles (The man always known as Colesy) had to come on in the 2nd half) compared to Tonga in the 1st test at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin with Coles being the top performer scoring 4 tries after coming on from the bench to replace Codie Taylor during the 2nd half (And I mean what a difference he is but Coles is nearing the end of his career & the other try scorers for the AB's were David 'Davey Dave' Havili (Despite being sin binned during the 2nd half after conceding a penalty try) getting a double as well as Jordie Barrett, George 'Bridgey' Bridge & reserve All Black back Will Jordan (Who doesn't have a formal nickname so I refer to him as Willy J) while the try scorers for the Fijians were Albert Tuisue, Mesu Kunavula & a penalty try) but there were 2 yellow cards in the match, one to Fijian fullback Kini Murimurivalu for going straight off his feet & the other to All Black second five & dual try scorer David Havili for deliberately pulling down (Collapsing) a maul in the act of stopping a try being scored by Fiji, resulting in a penalty try so here's the match commentary provided by Newshub:

Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live updates of the first test between the All Blacks and Fiji from Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.

After a thorough 102 - 0 victory over Tonga at Mt Smart Stadium, the All Blacks will hope for more of a contest against Fiji.

Brodie Retallick is back in black for the first time since the 2019 World Cup, while Aaron Smith takes the role of All Blacks captain for the first time in his career.

Beauden Barrett is also given a run in the No.10 jersey, while Ethan de Groot has the chance to make his test debut off the bench.

Fiji meanwhile are without some of their best players, missing halfbacks Frank Lomani and Moses Sorovi and first-five Teti Tela. However, Kiwi fans will at least recognize the likes of first-five Ben Volavola and winger Nemani Nadolo after their time playing in New Zealand.

These two sides last met all the way back in 2011, with the All Blacks winning 60 - 14 in Dunedin.

6:40PM: A very good evening to you all! We're all ready to go for a cracker here tonight, with conditions (predictably) perfect under the roof in Dunedin.

Kick off's just under half an hour away - stay tuned!

6:57PM: Fiji are the first side out onto the park, led by captain Levani Botia.

A huge cheer goes up for the visitors, with a healthy amount of Fiji supporters in attendance.

And an even bigger cheer goes up for the All Blacks - led out by Aaron Smith on his Highlanders home ground!

6:58PM: We'll have the anthems, followed by the pre-match challenges (The haka vs Fiji's cibi) and then it's all on!

7:00PM: A few tears among the Fijian side as they sing their anthem. It's never in doubt how much playing a test against the All Blacks means.

7:04PM: Pre-match challenges all done, kick-off just moments away!

KICK OFF: Beauden Barrett gets us going under the roof!

2ND MINUTE: Murimurivalu fields the kick, before Fiji go back to Volavola who clears.

PENALTY: The Barrett brothers combine before Beauden returns fire. Kurivoli is taken out and Fiji have the first penalty of the night.

3RD MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): But Volavola's kick doesn't go out! Havili and Volavola trade kicks before Beauden Barrett makes a run.

The All Blacks look to use the ball, short of the 22. Tuipulotu runs close before Jordie Barrett tries a crossfield kick!

Reece kicks it through on the volley - but can't catch up with it before it goes dead!

4TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Jordie Barrett kicks to Volavola who calls for the mark. Fiji kick it to Beauden Barrett, who returns fire.

Fiji go back to Kuruvoli, who kicks into touch.

8TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): Volavola kicks into touch and we will have the first lineout of the night.

PENALTY: Taylor throws, and the All Blacks bring it down and run. Ioane makes a burst, as does Tuipulotu before Fiji give away advantage. Leaving feet the call (Off feet), Botia the culprit.

Barrett finds the corner and the All Blacks will attack from their lineout.

9TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Taylor throws, Retallick wins it and the All Blacks drive.

10TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), CONVERSION: Beauden Barrett has the kicking duties, this one from relatively right in front, and he gets it. (NZ 7 FIJI 3)

13TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), SCRUM: Advantage Fiji as Tuipulotu knocks on from the kick-off. No advantage to be played, so we'll have the first scrum of the night. There's a 10kg advantage to the All Blacks in the forwards

Kuruvoli feeds, and Fiji run off the back. Advantage to Fiji again.

PENALTY: They look to go wide before Murimurivalu cuts back inside and runs inside the 22. But Fiji lose the ball and we'll go back for the penalty.

Do Fiji want more points?

14TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), FIJI PENALTY: They do. Volavola lines up his second kick of the night, this one from in front, but outside the 22.

And he's got this one too! Fiji cut the lead to just a point! (NZ 7 FIJI 6)

16TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): Fiji regain possession inside their own half after intercepting a Havili pass. They kick to Jordie Barrett, who kicks back but into touch.

Fiji lineout, 10m inside the All Blacks half. They win the lineout but the delivery to Kuruvoli is poor and the All Blacks get it back.

Beauden Barrett kicks back and Fiji can't hang on! Sotutu passes wide to Reece's win as the All Blacks have advantage.

PENALTY: They go wide to the left, but we'll go back for the penalty. Do they want the points or the lineout?

18TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Smith wants the lineout, and the All Blacks will have one in the right hand corner.

Taylor throws, Frizell wins it as Sotutu wraps with Smith on the blindside.

Advantage All Blacks as Taylor is tackled on the right wing. The All Blacks' forwards use the ball, before they go to the backs.

Beauden Barrett to Havili, who cuts back inside to score against the post!

CONVERSION: The conversion is good from Beauden Barrett. (NZ 14 FIJI 6)

20TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): The All Blacks win the kick off as Jordie Barrett and Reece combine down the right! The All Blacks run the ball into Fiji's half, but the ball is taken into touch. Fiji lineout.

PENALTY: They restart, but Blackadder turns the ball over!

22ND MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: All Blacks lineout, Taylor throws, Tuipulotu wins it and they go for the lineout.

The All Blacks go through the hands, before Havili slips right through the Fiji defence and scores under the posts!

CONVERSION: Beauden Barrett converts from right in front. (NZ 21 FIJI 6)

24TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), SCRUM: Volavola kicks off, and Tuipulotu knocks on again. Great chance for Fiji to hit back from a scrum.

Kuruvoli feeds and Botia runs as first receiver. Fiji continue to attack the line, but play is stopped for a huge cut to Beauden Barrett's brow.

Out, he's copped some friendly fire from Brodie Retallick's boot.

SUBSTITUTION: Damian McKenzie comes on as a blood bin replacement.

25TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): We'll restart with a Fiji scrum inside the All Blacks' 22.

PENALTY: Kuruvoli feeds, but he can't get the ball out before the All Blacks' front row wins a penalty.

Harsh call against Fiji as McKenzie clears for an All Blacks lineout.

27TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): Sotutu loses the ball and Volavola throws a huge pass out to the right wing! The All Blacks are all offside as Fiji attack.

Fiji break through Sau and run at the line, they're so close! They go wide, but can't hang on through the hands!

PENALTY: We'll go back for the offside against the All Blacks though.

28TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY FIJI: Volavola kicks for the corner, and Fiji will have a lineout.

Matavesi throws, and Fiji look for the drive. Matavesi has it at the back - before he gets it to Tuisue and he scores! Great play from the Fijian forwards.

Kuruvoli fields the kick and returns fire to McKenzie. Laulala runs at Fiji, but they've turned it over again!

PENALTY: Johnny Dyer the hero with the turnover.

36TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER): Beauden Barrett has been patched up. He's back on the field, but looks seriously worse for wear.

Matavesi throws the lineout, and Botia hits the line hard! Ravai and Dyer both run at the All Blacks, but the defence holds.

Sotutu turns the ball over, and passes to Beauden Barrett who stabs a kick through, only as far as Nadolo.

Fiji slow the play right down, before Volavola goes to the air. Jordie Barrett takes it, and kicks straight back to Volavola - who runs and is tackled.

Jordie Barrett wins a turnover as Volavola doesn't release (Not releasing ball).

39TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: All Blacks lineout in the right corner. Taylor throws, Tuipulotu wins it and finds Frizell who hits the line. But Fiji are offside and give away a penalty.

It'll be an All Blacks scrum.

Smith feeds, as Sotutu takes it off the back and holds off a couple of defenders. Advantage All Blacks.

Laulala is tackled, before Taylor goes left. Retallick takes a tackle, before Taylor goes again. Smith goes wide to Jordie Barrett, who looks for Bridge, but Havili sticks a hand out and palms into touch.

PENALTY: We'll go back for the advantage though.

All Blacks' scrum. Smith feeds.

PENALTY: Sotutu runs off the back and is tackled short of the line, but Fiji have turned it over! Dyer again coming up with the big play!

The siren goes for halftime, what will Fiji do?

They clear into touch. That's the half.

The All Blacks can counter, but Beauden Barrett knocks on.

Taylor's throw is over the top straight to Frizell. All Blacks have advantage as they go wide.

Havili runs down the left wing, before drawing in the last defender and finding Bridge outside him - unmarked.

Bridge doesn't miss from there, as he glides over for the first try of the second half.

But it's turned over and Whitelock snaps it up! But it's knocked on, and that's full time!

FULL TIME

ALL BLACKS 57 FIJI 23

And in other rugby news such as Samoa (Who are on the recovery mode after losing to the Maori All Blacks twice) beating Tonga (Who got demolished by the AB's by 102 points the Saturday before) in the 1st leg of the 2023 Rugby World Cup qualifiers at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland then the British & Irish Lions play the Sharks again turning into a 2 match series during the Lions rugby tour disrupted by the corona virus at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria with a thrashing after one of the Sharks players got sent off during the match.

And finally in other sports news such as Australian Ash Barty (Who is part Aborigine because of her grandmother) winning the women's singles title at Wimbeldon as she defeated her Czech opponent Karolina Pliskova but there is a tennis match tomorrow as the men's singles final in Wimbledon is between Matteo Berrettini of Italy (Well, you have an Italian tennis player playing in the major tennis final in England on Italy's big day as Italy take on England in the final of Euro 2020 trying to steal a little bit of limelight therefore setting the tone) taking on the French Open champion Novak Djokovic (Who had an incredible comeback to down Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas at Roland Garros after trailing by 2 sets & is on the cusp of winning his 6th Wimbeldon title) but the men's singles final in Wimbledon falls on the same day but the all important tennis match is held before the Roberto Mancini coached & Giorgio Chellini led Italy (Who are favourites now because originally it was going to be the English (Because of them ranked above the Italians & they have the home field advantage going into the final not only because the Italians are avid football followers while the English (Or British), invented the beautiful game of football as well as cricket, rugby union & tennis of course) but they changed it to Italy) battle the Gareth Southgate coached & Harry Kane led England (Whom I am backing because of our family's English roots but Zaki (Whom I met last year along with his Muslim wife Aysha) owns a place in Italy) in a bid for European Football Championship supremacy in the final of Euro 2020 which is at Wembley Stadium in London (Will this be England's time for football to come home or has they have before, will Italy find something special to once again break English hearts? And my last thoughts before the final of the Euros tomorrow morning New Zealand time? Come on England (There is no tomorrow, today we crush the Italians once & for all (There's plenty for the both of us, may the best team win, game on (And watch this space).

So that is my 434th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 54th of this year.

17. Ethan de Groot (Who has replaced George Bower (Who is elevated to the starting lineup to replace Karl Tu'inukuafe as the starting loose head prop) to make his test debut off the bench)
18. Tyrel Lomax
19. Sam Whitelock (Who is also dropped to the bench to cover at the second row position after captaining the last All Blacks test against Tonga with Patrick Tuipulotu elevated to the starting lineup to replace Scott Barrett)
20. Luke Jacobson (Who is dropped to the bench to also make way for Hoskins Sotutu to start at number 8)
21. Finlay Christie
22. Damian McKenzie (Who is also dropped to the bench after starting at fullback against the Tongans)
& 23. Will Jordan (The 5 try hero against Tonga who is also dropped to the bench making way for Sevu Reece (One of 3 All Blacks with Fijian roots along with George Bower & Hoskins Sotutu) to start at the right wing)

So that is my 433rd blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 53rd of this year.

P.S. And in other international rugby news such as the Wallabies came out of nowhere as they got out of jail when they took victory against France (Whose chances for victory ended in heartbreak) in the 1st test of a 3 match test series in Brisbane with a match winning penalty goal by Noah Lolesio right in front of the sticks in which they had to bring it home in the end (Well, it gives you Handre Pollard vibes when South Africa reached the 2019 Rugby World Cup final with a game winning penalty goal at the death to bring it home against Wales in the semifinal) followed by the British & Irish Lions thump the Cell C Sharks in a tour match at Ellis Park in Johannesburg with both players scoring hat-tricks such as Welshman Josh Adams & South African born Scotsman Duhan van der Merwe.

And finally there are 2 rock music (The only music genre that I love) genres that I love now, alternative rock (Known as alt rock) & heavy metal of course as I told Andy during a conversation at a bar at Kingsgate.

Euro 2020 news flash part 2 (+ Euro 2020 final preview)

Well, the news of the semifinals of Euro 2020 had just come in as Italy (Who were without defender Leonardo Spinazzola through injury) became the 1st team to reach the final after they dominated Spain on penalties (There was a goal to Italian striker Enrico Chiesa before Spanish striker Alvaro Morata who just come off the bench, equalized & then during the penalty shootout, an Italian player named Locatelli fluffed up an attempt of a shot before Spanish player Dani Olmo missed it because his shot went way too high then during the shootout, the Italian goalkeeper of Gianluigi Donnaruma saved a certain shot of goal scorer Morata before Chelsea player Jorginho nailing a shot that put Italy through to the final) & how did the Italians reach the final of the Euros after failing to qualify at the last Football World Cup? Well, to start with, they had some good players in which they injected new blood while they still had experienced old veterans like Giorgio Chellini & Leonardo Bonucci (And they used to have goalkeeper Gianluigi 'Gigi' Buffon (The Football World Cup winning player for Italy way back in 2006) since he retired from international football).

And finally England managed to reach their 1st European Football Championship final (They haven't reached a major football tournament final since 1966 in which they triumphed to win the Football World Cup against Germany (Who were known as West Germany at the time) on home soil at Wembley with Geoff Hurst scoring a hat trick of goals (The last hat trick in the World Cup final) & after the match had ended, it was the moment that Her Majesty the Queen famously shook hands with the winning captain, Bobby Moore before the English captain lifted the Jules Rimet trophy) with a tremendous victory over Denmark (The Danes scored the 1st goal of the match off a direct free kick taken from young Danish player Mikkel Damsgaard followed by an own goal by Danish captain Simon Kjaer then this happened during extra time as England had controversially awarded a penalty before Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel saved a certain penalty but couldn't save another as English skipper Harry Kane scored to put them in front which proved to be the game changer & held on until the end to take the win by the narrowest of margins).

So it's Italy to play England in the Euro 2020 final (Their last meeting between the 2 sides was in 2018 where the match had ended in a draw (It was Jamie Vardy who scored first during the 1st half before Lorenzo Insigne scoring a late penalty that denied England a chance of taking victory) but the last time both sides had met at a major football tournament was at the 2014 Football World Cup in Brazil in which the Italians dominated the opening match of Group D against the English, winning by just a single goal (Italy opened the account with a goal scored by midfielder Claudio Marchisio followed by England who equalized with striker Daniel Sturridge scoring before the Italians scored a goal by striker Mario Balotelli that proved to be the turning point & the last time both sides had met at the Euros was in 2012 where Italy won the quarterfinal match against the English on penalties) at Wembley Stadium in London on Monday morning New Zealand time to decide who will become the new European Champion (Well, who is it going to be? Whether it's the Italians to party like it's 1968 (Forza Italia) or will football be coming home for the English after 55 long years of anguish in major football tournaments (Come on England).

So that is my 432nd blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 52nd of this year.

Stories of terrible refereeing decisions in the history of rugby union

Well, here are some stories of some of the terrible refereeing decisions in the history of rugby union (Which is a direct sequel to the blog that I did about the stories of terrible umpiring decisions in the history of cricket but I managed to switch it over to rugby union from cricket for this blog that I posted today) but 1st, it was in 1995 that hosts South Africa took to the field to face France in the wet of the 1995 Rugby World Cup semi final at Kings Park in Durban but luckily the Springboks won the match to make it through to the final - if there'd been today's video technology be available, France's last minute try, ruled out by the ref, would've won them the semi.

And the 2nd one that was in 1999 during the RWC that Fiji took on France (Whose path made easy) in a clash to top the pool but unfortunately for the Fijians that their chances of a likely upset win against the French had fallen apart & taken its toll courtesy of a shocking refereeing performance by New Zealand referee Paddy O'Brien, which to his credit, he owned up to & was feeling it (His first blunder was to miss a crude headbutt by a French player, which also went unnoticed by his assistant referees, one of whom was fellow Kiwi Colin Hawke, then came an injury break following a penalty awarded to the French, Paddy placed the ball on the mark while the injured player was treated. When he subsequently blew the whistle for play to resume, French halfback Stephane Castaignede trapped the ball to himself &, catching the Fijians by surprise, bolted through to the goal line for a try. ''You can't do that'' Paddy told Castaignede ''You were indicated you were taking a shot at goal. No try.'' Then Paddy realized his error because the assistant referees were stationary on the sidelines. He had not directed them to the goalposts. A concentration lapse had led to a calamitous mistake. His next mistake was in assuming something had happened when it hadn't. A punishing spot tackle by a Fijian player had dislodged the ball from a French defender. First player on the spot was another Fijian, who grabbed the ball & scored what television replays established was a perfectly legitimate try. But Paddy, who presumed the ball had gone forward, ordered a scrum, French ball. The Fijian players & supporters were aghast. Next came a series of five-metre scrums with the French applying pressure. After a couple of collapses, Paddy ran to the goalposts & awarded France a penalty try. He later acknowledged that a penalty try was not justified. It ended Fiji's winning hopes, the final score being 28 - 19 to France. But O'Brien wasn't required for the remaining games of the 1999 Rugby World Cup after a diabolical & volatile performance as a ref (Although he served the AR role in the final between Australia & France).

The 3rd one is about the 2011 RWC semi final in which France won the match by a single point against the 14 man Wales after the Welsh skipper was sent off for a lifting tackle quite early in the game but you could argue that the French have several already. When the Welsh captain, Sam Warburton, was sent off early in the semi because it was one of the most controversial decisions in the history of the World Cup according to Nick Mullins in commentary on British TV broadcaster ITV which cost Irish referee Alain Rolland (Who sent Warburton off under controversial circumstances for a tip tackle on French winger Vincent Clerc) a chance to referee the 2011 Rugby World Cup final (It was awarded to South African Craig Joubert instead).

And finally the 4th one is about French second rower Sebastien Vahaamahina getting sent off by the South African referee Jaco Peyper in the 2019 RWC quarterfinal match between Wales & France where the referee had a look at the TMO for foul play when replays show that Vahaamahina had elbowed Welsh player Aaron Wainwright to the head before this happened as Peyper had shown the red card to Vahaamahina (Who had faced a lengthy suspension before announcing his retirement from international rugby) which cost France a chance of reaching the semifinal (Wales had won in the end to set up a semifinal showdown against the Boks in which South Africa dominated the match (Despite losing a man for 10 minutes for a spear tackle during the match) against Japan, ending the previous host nation's hopes & aspirations of advancing through to the semi) but Peyper wasn't required to referee in both semifinals as well as the 3rd & 4th place playoff & the final of RWC 2019.

So that is my 431st blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 51st of this year.

P.S. And I was telling Carole during our Indian meal for dinner at her place on Sunday the day before Pops 74th birthday that I was listening to the Cafe de Paris music album in its entirety for the 1st time, invoking memories of my childhood (It was 20 years ago that I was dancing to the late Nan to that tune during my school holiday period) before I listened to one Foo Fighters song taken from the greatest hits album that I own which is Best Of You to retain my youthful rock energy (Although I'm 30 now because we're all getting old) unlike last month that I listened to another one of the Andrea Bocelli albums called Romanza that Carole has got that we own in its entirety before I listened to one Incubus song taken from the Make Yourself album called Out From Under to also retain my youthful rock energy.

And finally what happens if the knock on rule in rugby is abolished? Because most rugby players would be outraged & they wouldn't be happy at all (There would be less scrums as well as the ball would be in play more, making it more entertaining from the fans then this means players would need to be lighter to get around the field more & which would them, in turn, mean collisions being less intense in the sport).

Euro 2020 news flash part 1

Well, there has been some reports in Euro 2020 (Which I haven't been following & keeping up to date until now (And it's back anyway & it was originally going to be held last year but due to COVID-19, it had to be moved to this year along with the Tokyo Olympics but the European Football Championship is the 2nd most important international football tournament behind the Football World Cup) but this one is for you football fans especially Leon (Who is a self proclaimed football follower as well as New Zealand's most authentic Liverpool FC & Pink Floyd fan (Compared to me being New Zealand's most authentic Star Wars fan) but both Pops & Matt Pine aren't even football followers (Well I love football anyway but I prefer rugby union as my favourite sport) who is about to head back to Whanganui with his current partner Michelle this month) such as the resurgent Italy (Who failed to qualify for the last Football World Cup being held in Russia after they famously lost to Sweden in the European qualification playoff but they have lost a key player through injury as defender Leonardo Spinazzola hobbled off during the quarterfinal match & is looking likely to miss the semifinal encounter against Spain (Who'll go into the semi as favourites with the Spanish (Who haven't triumphed at the Euros since 2012 (Their last major title in international football) in which they won back to back European championships (They won their 2nd European championship title in 2008 before winning their 3rd in 2012) to add to their triumph at the Football World Cup in 2010 as well as their European Football Championship title that they previously won in 1964) are ranked above the Italians (The last time Italy won the Euros was in 1968 but their last major triumph for the country in international football was in 2006 in which they won the Football World Cup as I mentioned before in my previous blogs) in the football world rankings compared to the English who are ranked above the Danish going into the semifinal but I wonder it'll be a Spain-England final) side defeated Belgium (Who lost to eventual champions France in the semifinal of the last Football World Cup in Russia in 2018 & are without their top stars such as Kevin de Bruyne (Although de Bruyne was passed fit for the quarterfinal against Italy despite being on an injury cloud with Hazard) & Eden Hazard through injuries after they knock the defending European champions Portugal out of the Euros in the round of 16) in the quarterfinal followed by the rejuvenated Spain (Who are on the recovery mode after being knocked out of the 2018 Football World Cup in the hands of previous hosts Russia on penalties in the round of 16) side who had a sensational victory over Switzerland (The nation that knocked over & stunned the world champions France in the round of 16) on penalties) then England (Who famously lost to Croatia in the semifinal of the last Football World Cup in 2018 & they famously beat traditional rivals Germany by 2 goals in the round of 16 but have never won a European Football Championship title before & are looking for their 1st major football tournament win in 55 years since they famously won the Football World Cup on home soil in 1966) march on to the final four as they outplayed Ukraine (Who beat Sweden in the round of 16) by 4 goals to reach their 1st European Championship semifinal since 1996 in which they lost to eventual champions Germany in the semifinal followed by Denmark (Who also famously lost to Croatia on penalties in the round of 16 of the 2018 Football World Cup & had beaten Wales in the round of 16) who had their amazing win over the Czech Republic (Who out muscled the Netherlands (Who had their player sent off during the match) in the round of 16) to make their 1st appearance at a semifinal since 1992 in which they triumphed by winning the tournament (It was before the start of the 1992 tournament that Denmark (Who originally failed to qualify after FR Yugoslavia beat them in a qualifying tournament) was in after the Yugoslavians had to pull out due to a war that broke out in their home country).

And here is the confirmed list for the semifinal matches being played of Euro 2020:

Italy Vs Spain
& England Vs Denmark

So that is my 430th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 50th of this year.

All Blacks Vs Tonga review 2021 edition

Well, after the Maori All Blacks had beaten Samoa in the 1st match of the double header, the All Blacks had completely thumped & annihilated the under strength Tongan side by 102 points (With All Blacks winger Will Jordan (Well, Pops told me that I wonder that Jordan will end up being a try scoring machine in the weeks to come) scoring 5 tries in the match (He joins Jeff Wilson as the 2nd All Black to score 5 tries in a test match but is just one short behind the all time record set by Marc Ellis who got a double hat trick against Japan during the pool game of the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa) while halfback Brad Weber (Who had left the field injured (But let's hope that it's not serious) during the 2nd half & replaced by new All Black rookie halfback (And Scottish born) Finlay Christie (One of the fellow new rookies for the AB's along with Ethan Blackadder (The son of a famous All Black, Todd), George Bower (The Fijian bulldozer) & Quinn Tupaea (Who had a phenomenal game to remember that Pops told me during his test debut) after copping a bit of friendly fire) got a hat trick as well as open side flanker Dalton Papali'i getting a double) just like 21 years ago (Where the match was played at North Harbour Stadium in Albany with second rower Troy Flavell getting a hat trick on test debut & reserve back Doug Howlett (Who just came on for Christian Cullen at halftime but he is a Kiwi of Tongan origin along with Pita Alatini & the late Jonah Lomu) scoring a try with his first touch of the rugby ball as an All Black while on test debut) in a blowout at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland to begin our campaign of international rugby this year so here is the match commentary provided by Newshub:

Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the All Blacks v Tonga test match at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium.

This encounter marks the start of New Zealand international campaign for 2021 and realistically Tonga shouldn't provide much opposition beyond the initial 10 minutes, before the adrenaline runs out for the Pacific Islanders.

Coach Ian Foster has named a line-up that combines hardened veterans like forwards Sam Whitelock and Dane Coles with debutants like midfielder Quinn Tupaea, while three more newbies will come off the bench.

Richie Mo'unga will get first use of the No.10 jersey, with Beauden Barrett virtually ruling himself out of a dual-playmaker role at fullback.

Dalton Papali'i will fill in for injured captain Sam Cane at openside flanker, while Tupaea and Rieko Ioane form an inexperienced midfield combination, with incumbents Jack Goodhue and Anton Lienert-Brown both sidelined.

With many of their front line players in Europe, Tonga have named 13 debutants and reached out to club players around New Zealand, sparking some concern about their readiness to face a full-blooded international team.

All Blacks: 1-Karl Tu'inukuafe, 2-Dane Coles, 3-Angus Ta'avao, 4-Scott Barrett, 5-Sam Whitelock, 6-Akira Ioane, 7-Dalton Papali'i, 8-Luke Jacobson, 9-Brad Weber, 10-Richie Mo'unga, 11-George Bridge, 12-Quinn Tupaea, 13-Rieko Ioane, 14-Will Jordan, 15-Damian McKenzie

Reserves: 16-Asafo Aumua, 17-George Bower, 18-Tyrel Lomax, 19-Patrick Tuipulotu, 20-Ethan Blackadder, 21-Finlay Christie, 22-Beauden Barrett, 23-Jordie Barrett

Tonga: 1-Duke Nginingini, 2-Sam Moli, 3-Sila Puafisi, 4-Don Lolo, 5-Zane Kapeli, 6-Mateaki Kafatolu, 7-Solomone Funaki, 8-Sione Tuipulotu, 9-Sonatane Takulua, 10-Kalione Hala, 11-Penikolo Latu, 12-Nikolai Foliaki, 13- Fine Inisi, 14-Hosea Saumaki, 15-James Faiva

Reserves: 16-Siua Maile, 17-Jethro Felemi, 18-Tau Koloamatangi, 19-Harrison Mataele, 20-Viliami Taulani, 21-Nasi Manu, 22-Leon Fukofuka, 23-Walter Fifita

6:58 PM: Pretty good crowd turned out at Mt Smart, estimated at 15,000. Many of the Tongan fans might be saving their coin for next week's clash against Manu Samoa, while All Blacks supporters will have a chance to see some closer contests in the weeks to come.

7:02 PM: Tonga perform their pre-game challenge - you can hear a pin drop.

Now the All Blacks haka, led by Dane Coles, with Sam Whitelock at the front. It's Ka Mate and Tonga are walking forward to halfway to receive the challenge.

1ST MINUTE: Ben O'Keeffe to referee this encounter. Conditions cold, but still.

Mo'unga kicks off for the All Blacks and Tonga clears high, back to Mo'unga. Tupaea gets his first touch as an All Black.

2ND MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to McKenzie

CONVERSION MISS: All Blacks send the ball left, Ioane offloads in a tackle, McKenzie puts Bridge towards the corner and is there to score, when his winger is tackled short. Mo'unga's sideline conversion is just outside the left upright, NZ 5-0

4TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): Tonga kick off and Bridge kicks ahead. Faiva angles a kick towards the 22 and Jordan's momentum carries him into touch.

5TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Papali'i

CONVERSION: All Blacks steal a lineout in their own territory and fantastic interchange between Whitelock and Jacobsen sends Papalii through a gap to score. Mo'unga scores, NZ 12-0

7TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Weber

CONVERSION: From the kickoff and deep in their own half, the All Blacks send the ball left, where the Ioane brothers send Bridge up the sideline and he finds Weber running inside support. Mo'unga converts, NZ 19-0

9TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Jordan

All Blacks have ball in hand inside their own half, but Jordan cuts through the defence, Tupaea carries further, Coles lunges for the line and finds Jordan running support to score.

11TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): From the kickoff, McKenzie kicks for touch and finds it near halfway.

12TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Tonga win the line out, but lose the ball. All Blacks build from their own half again.

13TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SCRUM: Coles and Jacobson find Akira Ioane, who makes metres down the left, but the All Blacks knock on five metres out.

14TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: Tonga have a defensive scrum five metres out, but are braced for a massive All Blacks push. They hold and break from the scrum, but Ioane is pinged for a high tackle, so Tonga can clear.

16TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Weber

Tonga's kick doesn't find touch, so All Blacks have a chance to build something again.

CONVERSION: Weber breaks from a midfield breakdown and Ta'avao rumbles a few metres, before finding his halfback running support to score. Mo'unga converts, NZ 31-0

18TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): From the kickoff, Weber kicks high and All Blacks chase hard to regain possession.

19TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Tonga have the ball in hand on halfway and building phases, before they kick.

20TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Jordan

All Blacks send the ball left, Akira Ioane sends Tupaea on a run, before he kicks ahead. Tonga put the ball out, All Blacks take a quick line out, and McKenzie and Mo'unga send Jordan under the posts.

CONVERSION: Mo'unga converts, NZ 38-0

22ND MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), SCRUM: Tonga have a line out on the All Blacks 10, but Jacobson steals the throw. Across field, Tonga have another line out, but can't throw straight.

24TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): All Blacks scrum feed on halfway and they earn a penalty. Play continues and Bridge kicks into the in-goal, but Tonga force for a dropout.

25TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: All Blacks penalized, when Tu'inukuafe holds onto the ball in a tackle.

26TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Another Tongan line out in All Blacks territory and they manage to retain the ball, despite a messy throw.

27TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SCRUM: Tonga have the ball and build phases in All Blacks territory, but Papali'i manages to knock the ball on, while stealing possession.

28TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: Tonga feed to the scrum, but All Blacks push, but Tonga retain possession. They earn a penalty in midfield and kick for the corner.

29TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SCRUM: Tonga need to win this close-range lineout and do so. The forwards swarm around, but the All Blacks steal the ball - Bridge knocks on, so Tonga now have a close-range scrum in front of the posts.

31ST MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Big All Blacks scrum wins a penalty, so Tonga can't capitalise on that opportunity.

32ND MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: NZ haven't scored for 10 minutes now, so Tonga contesting better. They earn a penalty, when Jacobson enters a breakdown off his feet.

33RD MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Tonga barely win an attacking line out and try to mount an attack on the 22.

40TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), SCRUM: Tupaea busts over halfway and the ball goes left, where Coles spills a pass with 2-3 men outside him to end the movement.

FREE KICK (SHORT ARM PENALTY): The siren goes and Tonga feed a scrum, but the All Blacks earn a free kick. They tap, Papali'i and Tupaea combine in midfield.

PENALTY: Tu'inukuafe rumbles towards the line, but Tonga earn a penalty, when the prop doesn't release - for a second time - and they find touch to end the half.

FIRST HALF

41ST MINUTE, PENALTY: No change to the line-ups, as Tonga kick off. All Blacks earn a penalty for a head high tackle (High shot) and Mo'unga clears into Tongan half.

Jacobson wins the lineout, but Saumaki steals the ball.

The first 20 minutes did not all go well for Tonga, as they faced a quick 38-0 deficit, but they rallied over the next 20 minutes, conceding just one more try before halftime.

Maybe they have slowed the game down to their speed and dragged the All Blacks back closer to their level. Coach Ian Foster won't be that happy about the fall-off.

42ND MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Jacobson

From first receiver, McKenzie angles a 50m kick that dribbles into touch a few metres out from the goal-line.

CONVERSION: Somehow, Coles wins the lineout against the throw, he rumbles towards the posts and Jacobson is first receiver from the breakdown to score. Mo'unga converts and the All Blacks have a half tone, NZ 50-0

44TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER): Another long kick from McKenzie puts the All Blacks in prime position and they steal yet another lineout.

45TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Coles tidies up and untidy Mo'unga pass, scrambles to his feet and kicks ahead, the ball just beats everyone dead, but Coles is the closest All Black. Incredible.

46TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): All Blacks have a scrum feed on the 22, but their attack is frustrated by the Tonga defenders.

47TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SUBSTITUTION: All Blacks sub off their entire front row, with Lomax, Aumua and debutant Bower coming on.

TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Jordan

CONVERSION MISS: They boss the scrum and the ball goes right, where McKenzie draws the last defender to gift his winger a hat-trick. Mo'unga hooks another sideline conversion, NZ 55-0

49TH MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Weber

Akira Ioane rumbles upfield and Lomax dents the line in centre field. When the ball comes left, Bridge makes ground and finds Weber running support - again - for his hat-trick.

CONVERSION: Mo'unga converts, NZ 62-0

52ND MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), SCRUM & SUBSTITUTION: All Blacks cutting Tonga to ribbons with inside ball, but Rieko Ioane eventually knocks on. Ethan Blackadder replaces Papali'i for his debut.

53RD MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS & CONVERSION: Tonga run left from a midfield scrum on halfway, but the All Blacks forwards shove their counterparts back over the half, Barrett comes away with the ball and Akira Ioane sends Mo'unga away for a try, which he converts, NZ 69-0.

54TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SUBSTITUTION: Beauden Barrett replaces Mo'unga and Finlay Christie replaces Weber, who was injured in the build-up to that try.

55TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Try to Jordan

CONVERSION: Another spectacular build-up sees Jacobson feature three times, including the final pass to Jordan for his fourth try. Barrett converts, NZ 76-0

58TH MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER): Tonga inside All Blacks half, but the ball goes loose.

59TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SUBSTITUTION: Nasi Manu comes on for Tonga, but slots into centre, not his specialist loose forward position. Tonga only have two replacement backs.

60TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: Tonga win a scrum penalty in midfield and kick for touch.

61ST MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Rieko Ioane

Tonga lose another lineout and Bridge bursts out of his 22. Barrett chips ahead, Tupaea gathers and sends Ioane away to score.

CONVERSION: Barrett converts, NZ 83-0

63RD MINUTE (2 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: All Blacks try to mount an attack from the kickoff, but Tonga win a penalty in midfield.

SUBSTITUTION: Tuipulotu replaces Scott Barrett and Jordie Barrett comes on for Tupaea, who has been a revelation.

64TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: Christie bustles the Tongan forwards at the scrum, but Tonga retains the ball. Whitelock steals the ball, Aumua rumbles forward, but the All Blacks are penalized.

65TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Tonga kick for an attacking lineout, but they haven't won many tonight. They throw long, but Beauden Barrett can't gather.

66TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SCRUM: O'Keeffe is playing advantage for an All Blacks knock-on and comes back for the scrum inside the 22.

67TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Tonga try to mount something from the scrum, but they're held up in the maul and All Blacks have a turnover. Credit Beauden Barrett.

68TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Jordan

From a scrum in their own territory, Jacobson breaks off the back and bounces off a tackler. Christie is with him and the ball moves right, with McKenzie laying on the final pass for Jordan's fifth.

CONVERSION MISS: Barrett misses the conversion, NZ 88-0

71ST MINUTE (3 MINUTES LATER), PENALTY: Tonga have another penalty in All Blacks territory and kick to touch. They're slow learners.

They actually win this one, but Christie comes up with a big tackle.

72ND MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Tonga inching closer to the line, but Manu is driven back in a tackle. there's no way through the All Blacks defence.

73RD MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: Tonga have a penalty, and set for a tap and run. The ball goes loose, but All Blacks are penalized.

74TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY & SCRUM: Tonga tap again, but Blackadder dominates the breakdown and earns a clearing penalty. The All Blacks break out of their 22 and Jordan kicks ahead, but the pursuers knock on.

75TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), PENALTY: Tonga earn a scrum penalty on halfway and kick for touch again.

76TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Tonga win a lineout and try to mount another attack. They lose the ball and Christie hacks downfield.

77TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Try to Patrick Tuipulotu

CONVERSION: Akira Ioane rocks the ball free from the Tongans and Christie finds his Blues captain, who brushes aside a couple of tackles and gallops 30m to the line. Barrett converts from in front, NZ 95-0

79TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER), SCRUM: Jordie Barrett chips ahead, but Jordan can't quite gather to score his sixth.

80TH MINUTE (1 MINUTE LATER): Whitelock has now captained the All Blacks to seven wins from his seven games in charge.

PENALTY: From a midfield scrum, Tonga try to mount an attack and earn a penalty after the siren. They tap, but go nowhere.

TRY ALL BLACKS: Try to Bridge

Jordan drives Manu back and All Blacks turn the ball over. After several phases, the ball goes left and Rieko Ioane fires a long pass to his winger - that's the ton.

CONVERSION: Barrett converts, NZ 102-0

SECOND HALF

Stories of terrible umpiring decisions in the history of cricket

Well, here are some stories of some of the terrible umpiring decisions in the history of cricket but 1st, it was in 1995 that Australia took on Sri Lanka in a test match at the WACA in Perth where Australian batter Ricky Ponting was on the verge of something special as he was on 96 just 4 runs shy of his maiden century on test debut then this happened as Chaminda Vaas bowled to Ponting before the ball struck Ponting's pads while Vaas appealed to the Pakistani umpire Khizer Hayat for an LBW before the umpire's fingers went up so Ponting had been dismissed therefore missing out on a test century on debut but replays show that the ball went too high (Ponting could've reviewed it straight away so that the umpire can overturn the decision from out to not out should today's modern video technology be available) which was a little bit unlucky that Ponting was out on 96 when Aussie skipper Mark Taylor made the declaration.

And the 2nd one that was 20 years ago that India took on Australia & famously won at Eden Gardens in Kolkata in the 2nd test where the Indian crowd witnessed Harbhajan Singh had taken a hat-trick of wickets after Harbhajan's wicket on Adam Gilchrist where he was out LBW 1st ball before Shane Warne was dismissed where Harbhajan took a hat trick despite the ball had pitched outside leg stump (Of course that would've been not out which was a little bit unlucky meaning that Gilchrist had survived) & it hit the bat first so the umpire had no hesitation to give Gilchrist out (If today's modern video technology was available, Gilchrist would've reviewed it so that the umpire can reverse the decision).

The 3rd one is about the 2003 Cricket World Cup final in which Australia dominated the match to win their 3rd of 5 CWC titles against India at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg where Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting scored an unbeaten century in the 1st innings but the match will always be remembered where Ponting was trapped LBW off the bowling of Dinesh Mongia before umpire Steve Bucknor said that it wasn't out (That should've been out should the Indians take the review then overturn the decision for the umpire to give Ponting out plumb LB even if today's modern video technology be available) but according to Harbhajan on Twitter that it was pitching in line then the impact was in line & it would've gone on & hit the stumps.

And finally the 4th one is about Sachin Tendulkar being mistakenly given out by the West Indian umpire Steve Bucknor in the 1st test between Australia & India at the Gabba back in 2003 (Although the test match had ended in a draw) where Australian pace bowler Jason Gillespie bowled to Tendulkar then the ball that Gillespie bowled hit him on the pads & appealed to the umpire along with his teammates before this happened as Bucknor gave Tendulkar out which was easily one of the most controversial decisions in the history of test cricket because Tendulkar's LBW dismissal would've been not out as well as the ball would've been pitched outside leg stump (Once again, if today's modern video technology was available, Tendulkar could've reviewed it so that the umpire can reverse the decision meaning that Tendulkar was not out & luckily have to survive the leg before wicket dismissal) meaning that it had too much bounce & went too high.

P.S. And there has been a growing number of confirmed cases of the corona virus in Australia (Which is now in a worsening state during the world wide outbreak) which is now under the state of emergency shutdown in 6 of the 8 states (Except South Australia & Tasmania where they had none but they managed to shut the Trans-Tasman travel bubble down except 2 states & the Cook Islands travel bubble to New Zealand (Still on alert level 1 except in the greater Wellington area which is currently under alert level 2 (Hope Paige, Jarrod, Cathey, the other John Mitchell, Nico, Luca, John Coburn, Lim, Murray Gray, Viluz, Sophia, Sophia's Welsh husband, Sophia's son Shaia & Jennifer Morgan are all OK) is still open since they have no confirmed cases in the country) while Victoria is the worst affected in Australia compared to Fiji which is arguably the worst affected in the Pacific islands with over 300 confirmed number of cases of COVID-19 but Australia is the worst affected in Oceania (India, South Africa, Russia, Brazil & the United States of America have been the worst affected during the global pandemic in Asia, Africa, Europe, South America & North America respectively).

And I really like to give a shout out to my favourite person (Along with Kelsey), Pops who'll be turning 74 in 2 days time a day after Independence Day in America on the 4th of July so I would really like to wish him all the best on his birthday which is due on Monday.
