Euro 2020 news flash part 1

Well, there has been some reports in Euro 2020 (Which I haven't been following & keeping up to date until now (And it's back anyway & it was originally going to be held last year but due to COVID-19, it had to be moved to this year along with the Tokyo Olympics but the European Football Championship is the 2nd most important international football tournament behind the Football World Cup) but this one is for you football fans especially Leon (Who is a self proclaimed football follower as well as New Zealand's most authentic Liverpool FC & Pink Floyd fan (Compared to me being New Zealand's most authentic Star Wars fan) but both Pops & Matt Pine aren't even football followers (Well I love football anyway but I prefer rugby union as my favourite sport) who is about to head back to Whanganui with his current partner Michelle this month) such as the resurgent Italy (Who failed to qualify for the last Football World Cup being held in Russia after they famously lost to Sweden in the European qualification playoff but they have lost a key player through injury as defender Leonardo Spinazzola hobbled off during the quarterfinal match & is looking likely to miss the semifinal encounter against Spain (Who'll go into the semi as favourites with the Spanish (Who haven't triumphed at the Euros since 2012 (Their last major title in international football) in which they won back to back European championships (They won their 2nd European championship title in 2008 before winning their 3rd in 2012) to add to their triumph at the Football World Cup in 2010 as well as their European Football Championship title that they previously won in 1964) are ranked above the Italians (The last time Italy won the Euros was in 1968 but their last major triumph for the country in international football was in 2006 in which they won the Football World Cup as I mentioned before in my previous blogs) in the football world rankings compared to the English who are ranked above the Danish going into the semifinal but I wonder it'll be a Spain-England final) side defeated Belgium (Who lost to eventual champions France in the semifinal of the last Football World Cup in Russia in 2018 & are without their top stars such as Kevin de Bruyne (Although de Bruyne was passed fit for the quarterfinal against Italy despite being on an injury cloud with Hazard) & Eden Hazard through injuries after they knock the defending European champions Portugal out of the Euros in the round of 16) in the quarterfinal followed by the rejuvenated Spain (Who are on the recovery mode after being knocked out of the 2018 Football World Cup in the hands of previous hosts Russia on penalties in the round of 16) side who had a sensational victory over Switzerland (The nation that knocked over & stunned the world champions France in the round of 16) on penalties) then England (Who famously lost to Croatia in the semifinal of the last Football World Cup in 2018 & they famously beat traditional rivals Germany by 2 goals in the round of 16 but have never won a European Football Championship title before & are looking for their 1st major football tournament win in 55 years since they famously won the Football World Cup on home soil in 1966) march on to the final four as they outplayed Ukraine (Who beat Sweden in the round of 16) by 4 goals to reach their 1st European Championship semifinal since 1996 in which they lost to eventual champions Germany in the semifinal followed by Denmark (Who also famously lost to Croatia on penalties in the round of 16 of the 2018 Football World Cup & had beaten Wales in the round of 16) who had their amazing win over the Czech Republic (Who out muscled the Netherlands (Who had their player sent off during the match) in the round of 16) to make their 1st appearance at a semifinal since 1992 in which they triumphed by winning the tournament (It was before the start of the 1992 tournament that Denmark (Who originally failed to qualify after FR Yugoslavia beat them in a qualifying tournament) was in after the Yugoslavians had to pull out due to a war that broke out in their home country).

And here is the confirmed list for the semifinal matches being played of Euro 2020:

Italy Vs Spain
& England Vs Denmark

So that is my 430th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 50th of this year.
