News I have just missed (July 2021 edition + my 1st post Euro 2020 blog)

Well, after England's disappointment in the final of the Euros on penalties against Italy (Who have now won the Euros twice in 1968 & 2020 (It was played this year in 2021 because it was originally going to be played last year before the corona virus had happened) at Wembley Stadium (The traditional home of English football) in London which cost them a shot of winning their 1st UEFA European Football Championship title because it is time to move on from the football after that (The next major sporting event is the summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan (There's not going to be any crowds attending the events because of COVID-19 but our gold medal hopefuls for New Zealand are kayaker Lisa Carrington (Well, she hasn't lost her form after her gold medal success in both London in 2012 & Rio de Janeiro in 2016 (She also won bronze in another event), sailors Peter Burling & Blair Tuke (Silver medalists in London 2012, gold medalists in Rio in 2016 & dual America's Cup champions in both Bermuda in 2017 & Auckland this year with Emirates Team New Zealand) as well as the Sarah Hirini led Black Ferns sevens (Who are expected to go one better than in Rio in 2016 when they missed out completely on the gold after losing to Australia in the gold medal match) in rugby sevens & Tom Walsh (Who won the bronze medal back at the last Olympics in Rio in 2016) in the athletics (Track & field) shot put event hoping to become New Zealand's 1st male shot put Olympic champion) but news just come in that I have missed that there are confirmed reports in Australia that there are 97 people have contracted the corona virus in the state of New South Wales, 97! But they still going to extend the state of emergency shutdown as a result because now that NSW is in a worsening state of COVID-19 (And we had ours vaccinated twice last month here in Whanganui to protect themselves). But I had a great day when I was with Pops when I had chicken tikka masala for a big lunch at Trafalgar then we had soup for a light dinner as well as I always check my blogs as well as play both the PS4 & Xbox One consoles & listen to my music albums on my CD player that I borrowed from Pops (I listened to both Andrea Bocelli (Whose Italian because I listened to him in honor of Italy's success in the Euros this year yesterday but I did not know that Bocelli is blind when Leon told me) & Cafe de Paris before I went straight to the traditional rock sound of both A Perfect Circle & Incubus) every day.

And finally there is some football news I have just missed over the past 11 months such as last years FA Cup champions Arsenal winning the FA Community Shield on penalties against Liverpool (Who won the Premier League last year) at Wembley Stadium in London then last years Champions League winners Bayern Munich winning the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla (Who won the Europa League last year) in Budapest followed 8 months later by Leicester City winning their 1st FA Cup, defeating Chelsea in the final at Wembley before Chelsea redeemed themselves after losing to Leicester City in the FA Cup final by winning their 2nd UEFA Champions League title against Manchester City in Porto (It was originally going to be held at Istanbul but the venue had to change when the UEFA Champions League final was held in Portugal again just like last year, this time it was held in Porto) but I am going to do my blog tomorrow about the All Blacks team naming for the 2nd & final test against Fiji at FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton.

So that is my 436th blog of the year 2021 (MMXXI) & my 56th of this year.
